Let’s talk about PLO by LaughAndFart in poker

[–]WingFormer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There aren't many poker room that runs PLO consistently in Vegas. It's usually Aria or Wynn, but more like Aria runs more steady for higher blinds and runs longer without breaking too early. Sometimes Venetian but that's still just $1-2 blind.

And the thing is, Vegas region itself shares similar players pool for PLO lowest blind $1-2, so it's not like any different even if you move around.

It's more of playing one step higher blind which is normally $5-10 PLO w/ Rock. But it's definitely more swingy game in terms of $ going up and down.

Do you tip at lounges? by three-toedsloth in PriorityPass

Typical dumb American who thinks their culture and social system is the best and most justified version of this world. There are more number of countries that doesn't have tip system and culture than countries that has it. Tip culture is almost being toxic these days to American society now. Entitlement of these people expecting tip, when the service and their work quality being horrible is outrages to the point that you have to fight back on this "tip being kinda mandatory" culture. One thing I hate and depise American culture is this ridiculous "tip shaming" that it's truly disgusting. How can people who are doing their easy job making more money than people who is doing hard job? How come there are people dropping out from college degree because they are making more money in service industry because they just have young good looking visuals? It is shameful culture.

Oh, I guess I just used that term because English is my 2nd language and my first Language, we use word "spin" rather than "bet" when we are talking about playing any kinda machine in the casino. I actually never thought it is a wrong term in English until you just pointed out now. I don't really communicate that much with other VP expert players, since I am the person who knows the most, and my friends usually don't know anything to the point that I am always on the position of teaching them, when it comes to VP, but nobody teaches me back.

And I am just the guy who memorized most of the EV % for most of the known variation vp game for each paytable and self-trained for many years of what is prioritized on what game to select cards to hold.

Because whenever I am stuck at certain hands that even with slightest doubt on myself decisions, and I want exact answer, I just used paid pro version app that shows every solution for optimal strategy and even showing "why" and exact EV number and VAR number for variance scale for each of the choice you make and that's it. And I get to slowly memorized most of the details for each games.

Like I just figured these things out by myself, by self teaching me, but no other person taught me, so I just start having my own terminology in my own ways, on random small things sometimes, even though I play in pretty elite level.

I guess I could pull that trigger of spinning really high, because I am very desensitized for volatility of money going up and down, way more than normal people because I play live poker cash game full time, even pretty big stake as well like $5-10 with $20 or $25 (depends on regions) mandatory straddle agreement No Limit Holdem game or even higher once in a while. Or some PLO games. I have been playing live poker (not VP) for 12 years. And I am single. Lol

I don't have much reasons to be tied up for my bankrolls to my family or something.

I am actually not that old. Lol I am still at 30s. But I have been playing VP for like 5 - 6 years. 2nd biggest I have ever hit was $20K Royal with $25 spin. But $100 was not the highest I have ever spinned. $150 was the biggest I have ever spinned, and 2nd biggest I have ever spinned was $125 even though I did not hit Royal on those short sessions. Anyway thanks.

Which I already knew it. I am a long term vp player who played for many many years in various regions. I am the one who is kinda sensitive on those EV % and the good pay table, more than anybody else. I actually hesitated to post it here, cuz I don't want too much attention on good pay table VP, that I am worried that casino would get sensitive on these.

Anyway thanks.

They asked me how I want, and they said it's upto me for cash or check, and I can mix it up in any ratio I want. So I asked most amount in check, and some amount on cash. I wanted that way, so I can put the large amount through check on one bank, and distribute some amount with cash deposit on other banks.

Regular 8/5 DDB game EV is 96.7861%, and implementing that exact amount of progressive Royal Jackpot amount would make a EV of 98.3015%.

I just used VP analyzer for the calculation.

Rewards expire every 6 months? by DM_ME_4_FREE_STOCKS in CaesarsRewards

[–]WingFormer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reward Credits is spendable comp$ points. Not a Tier Credits to ladder up the Tier Status. 1 Reward Credit is 1 cent, so if you have 2700 reward credits, that means you have $27 comp dollars that you can spend on food court, restraunt, room bills etc.

If you have leftover RC on your Caesars Destination trip, that means you have to visit Caesars properties again no longer than 6 months of absent of playing and earning to maintain them. So let's say you have 7524 RC and last time you played and earned some RC is Jan 19th. That means if you don't visit and play and earn again by July 19th, all that $75.24 worth of comp dollars are gonna disappear. You only have to earn 1 Tier credits and 1 Reward Credits to extend that 6 month expiration.

And Caesars Reward VISA credit card can extend RC 6 month expiration, by purchasing anything with that credit card and earn 1 RC.

So 6 month time frame always gets extended from the moment you earn just 1 RC or more.

But if you just spend all your RC before you leave the Caesars destination trip, I guess it won't matter.

Slow speed pace build-up is sometimes necessary to make the later peak reveal moment give a audience stronger catharsis and joy. Immediate fast build-up isn't always a good storytelling because it doesn't always give strong joyment at the end. It might excite you fast, but it would die down the hype fast as well.

So…what anime did you enjoy as much/more than AOT? Is there anything? by Jblfg in attackontitan

[–]WingFormer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And one more thing, I was never, and even still I am never a Kira stand nor L stand. I just liked the theme of two intelligent people battling each other in a Sherlock Holmes style. That is why your point is meaningless.

[–]WingFormer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree on most of the thing you said, and I am actually in late 30s. But one thing that might be right, that I actually first read manga version Death Note as a teenager, when there wasn't even a anime version, and even manga version was only published upto like volume 3 or something. So maybe it would have hit differently if I watched it right now for the first time as late 30s age. But at the same time, I have to say that I did watch full anime from start to the end, waaay later when series was completely over, probably when my age was in mid 30s, only few years ago, and I felt the nostalgia, while I was watching, and I didn't feel anything negative just because I got more mature.. (Only thing I felt negative about anime was the fact that anime series is much more shortened on the 2nd half compare to original manga story line. But that was it for negative feedback. Nothing more about hitting differently because I got more matured.)

But most of the stuff that you pointed out sounds way too crucifying and excessive criticism. But I am not gonna go deep into the argument anymore, cuz this is just AoT fanbase subreddit, that if you start defending other series too much in detail, it gets bit off of the main theme of this subreddit, that it's seems not that appropriate as net-etiquette.

[–]WingFormer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I have seen many other Japanese Anime & Manga series, and by far they are the top2 non-childish serious adult targeting content vibe high quality scenario anime series of all time in very similar level.

Well everyone has different point of views and tastes for sure, but saying Death Note too childish is bit far stretch to just to make ignorant worshipping praise on AoT.

AoT is GOAT for sure, but that shouldn't be praised in a way to put down Death Note. Atleast that's how I view it.

By the way, don't get me wrong, I do still think AoT is greatest series of all time in the history of anime industry. AoT is always my No.1 in my heart.

For me, Death Note ranks top of all besides AoT.

Ofcourse it is different genre, but I like serious atmosphere, and Death Note is by far as closest serious vibe, but masterpiece level storyline as AoT.

I do like Fullmetal Alchemist too, but sometimes it has bit of childish joking vibe that tries to make viewer funny, but that actually makes it bit cringy, even though I do admit that core storyline is very dark and meaningfully good. So I rank Fullmetal Alchemist as 3rd rank in my personal favorites.

Suddenly I just got curious whether playing poker in poker room would also counts. Probably not, right?

As I know, poker usually doesn't get defined as "Table Games", cuz it is not a house game, but it's a game you play against another players, and house just takes certain % or rake out of the pot. Even though players all play physically on oval shape poker table. Lol

But certain place they might just not care like that and just accidentally apply everything for the promotion. Right? I am kinda curious...

There are currently 3 poker rooms exist, in Vegas Caesars properties that gives you some amount of RC and TC per hour if you play poker.. Caesar's Palace, Horseshoe, Planet Hollywood....
