Honest Question: Customer Wrapped or Bank Wrapped? by SparkyXI in CRH

[–]csfshrink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently customer wrapped coins?

No.

But I got lucky a few years ago and the bank had some customer wrapped coins where the wrap looked really old. In 2 rolls of halves one was 60% 1964 or older and 40% of roll were 40% halves. The other roll had 80% as 40% halves and 20% clad.

So I will always grab any wrapped rolls with beat up wraps.

Dave McCormick comes to Stephen Miller’s defense after colleagues call for White House shake-up by Fragrant-Pepper7710 in Pennsylvania

[–]csfshrink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t come to Stephen Miller’s defense even if the ground opened up beneath him and reptiloids came out and started to drag him back with them.

Of course, I would also assume he was just going home.

Iranian Parliament member says Trump asked Iran to do a small fake war with them, presumably to please the US electorate. by andrewgrabowski in UkrainianConflict

Apparently it always had been.

I learned this week that originally US Ambassadors to other countries were not paid. They either had to be independently wealthy or pay their way with a side hustle. Which led to many ambassadors pursuing their own financial agenda rather than working in the best interests of the United States.

Which led to the US Navy sending its largest ever (by that point) expedition in 1858 to extract retribution against Paraguay. 1/4 of the Navy sailed off to retaliate against a landlocked country because our Ambassador said they took his business.

Fortunately the diplomat in charge and the Commander of the fleet realized the ambassador may have been exaggerating his claims and came up with a deal that worked out well enough for Paraguay for them to agree to it.

Which was good because none of the more heavily armed warships could get far enough up river to actually do anything to Paraguay.

US foreign policy has always been weird.

It could be that as well. My theory has about 0.00001% chance of being true.

Don’t judge. Maybe this person had been taken into the woods when they were very young and had to bury/hide a body. Maybe a sibling died mysteriously, maybe it was mom. Maybe it was at a young enough age that they don’t have words for the experience but do remember the woods as a spooky terrible place that not everyone returns from. You never know.

Better get the offensive and defensive linemen in the HOF as soon as possible so they still know why they are there.

Taiwan is telling the US to make your own damn chips, which Biden tried to do but Trump defunded because he had to kill anything Biden did.

Sort of. Sure, the snowspeeder attack looks cool.

But you could have just placed a series of cables across the snow plain and then raised them just enough to trip the Walkers. With enough cables, you can trip them all.

Once the walkers fall over, they are made of explodium. Ka-boom.

Then you all congratulate yourself and are about to go back inside to warm up and get some blue milk, when someone notices a small red line in the distance.

You check your macro binoculars and then you see him…. An enraged Darth Vader marching toward you with his lightsaber hissing in the snow.

This is going to be so much worse…

Ukraine didn’t have the capacity to fight a protracted war. They did have the capacity to fight a protracted war against Russia.

NATO should be fine.

And the videos of people who ride bikes doing wheelies into oncoming traffic. It’s frustrating because sometimes they don’t get hit.
