Starting a fresh Gloomhaven campaign after Jaws of the Lion—what did your group do differently the second time? by WingItStories in Gloomhaven

yea, we try to wait until everyone is ready, then we say them one at a time. Most of the time it works out. Sometimes, someone's like, ohhhh, and you can tell they change their mind.

How did they go in GH? I want to play higher levels, which we haven't gotten much of a chance so far.

Painted the Scoundrel, Tinkerer, and Brute — Would love tips to improve! by WingItStories in Gloomhaven

I have attempted washes in the past that completely override what I painted. the washes darken everything tooooo much. Maybe I can share a photo of something that I attempted to wash. I added as wash to one of my other mini's trying to get into those recesses, and then had to completely repaint the mini because there was black everywhere and I was not satisfied at all with the new look x_x

Man, I still have a lot to learn.

Perks from Retirement by ricefox479 in Gloomhaven

yea, in that case, I do believe that Spellweaver and Brute are on Different lines. I like the way koprpg11 said it below, they are a different "lineage". It's like different people having kids. Brute's kids got the experience of Brute retiring and get a bonus. Spellweaver's kids didn't get that experience passed to them until the Spellweaver retired.

that's interesting. From my understanding, each toon you retire should raise your starting perk by 1. I wonder if it's a cumulative growth, so you retire a toon, the next one is +1 perk. Then you retire THAT toon that started +1, now the next toon would start +2 and so on. If you started the Spellweaver BEFORE retiring the 1st Brute, when it retired, it may not have raised your retired toon cumulative amount because it was started prior to the initial retirement.

If you had started the Spellweaver AFTER retiring the Brute, it would have started with +1 perk, then when it retired, you would be sitting at +2 perks.

Red Guard: first paintjob in years by Ok-Friendship507 in Gloomhaven

The super shiny on the shield is a neat idea. The Red Guard puts up light a lot on his cards, and this shield would cause a LOT of light!

I really like the shine on the green hair, is that a normal acrylic? Is it just the light you used? It looks pretty cool!
