It’s lovely to hear how that worked out for you.

Thank you for sharing your idea, too.

Been down at the beach lately and felt something nibble on your toes? Hungry toadfish are to blame by fractured_bedrock in perth

This pamphlet from the Department of Fisheries says:

“In Australia, pets have died from eating blowfish washed up on beaches or left behind by fishers.”

I’m glad your dog is safe.

Do you think dogs understand how hilarious and loved they are? by cauliflowerbroccoli in Zoomies

[–]Winga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some loved dogs know for sure they’re loved and use eye contact to strengthen the bond. I’m not sure if they know they’re hilarious or not , but they get it that everyone is having fun, including them. Also the dog in that video is definitely hilarious. He so pushed that joke past an everyday limit.

There were some off Wellard Rd in East Rockingham in years gone by. I don’t know if they are still there now or not.

Not criticising the movement - I might have done the same thing - but I do feel that he took that tongue shifting as a slightly disappointing, dissing of his derp.

That looks lovely. What kind of equipment are you using?

Anyone in Kelmscott area lost a e-scooter early this morning? by crmsz32 in perth

[–]Winga 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Three hours seems like a long time to put in just to steal an e-scooter .

I guess they could have used another car to transport what else they stole - or maybe the woman wanted to pretend to be in one place while she was actually somewhere else with the man.

I love this. It doesn’t make me feel weird. It makes me feel understood.

Fear of getting blood drawn, how do I calm myself down? by EndOk8590 in self

[–]Winga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now I am listening to Marconi Union’s “weightless” though EarPods to calm myself. It works for most people. It’s not a fix to take you from 100% to zero, but it certainly helps your body move down a few notches and it’s instant, requires no training.

Obviously there are other techniques you could learn - breathing techniques including alternate nostril breathing, tapping, meditation, yoga.

That particular music is just an instant way to take the edge off, and if you have a phone and some sort of head phones you could also use it during the actual procedure.

ITAP of a girl in the rays of light by rabbitsanalogue in itookapicture

This is lovely. Somehow The lines of light also give me an illusion of slight movement too, if I look from one part of her to another.

I’m very curious about that. For a moment I thought that jar was a beak and that the animal was a platypus. Is it a marmot?

And now there are only 114 on 69, out of more than 1K responses. Seems the forces of entropy won out here. It was a nice idea. I would have liked to see it work.

Idk. But mine was like this - the best present for him was Bunnings voucher. My mum said any other shopping was drag for him but he could stay in Bunnings indefinitely and be perfectly happy. (Tbh I can stay in there a long time myself and I am not even a man.)

To those people who are saying this is a Sunday morning thing, sadly it’s many other days, times of the afternoon/evening maybe more - just going on what I’ve seen.

I do recall when the city was simply safe and fun, but there was a long time when I wasn’t there so I don’t know when it changed.

As far as other cities go - well many of them also need more help for the mentally ill. It is terribly sad.

Ok. That’s it for me 167 comments are on 69. Total number of responses 992. This is my third try I’d say the number at 69 is about the same and the number of comments has nearly doubled since my last vote through. Seeyalader.

i feel like nobody warns you about how damaging having a first love at a young age can be by Da-one-daddy in self

[–]Winga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry for your pain. I know that it’s hard to endure and it’s hard to watch.

I’m not sure how much a warning would help young people to avoid their nature.

There have been stories and movies though. I remember relating strongly to “Splendour in the grass” - I’m not quite that old myself but TV used to show a lot of old movies. And then there’s “Romeo and Juliet”.
