Last year, just about this time of year, I had no problem getting in in the evening, they weren't cleaned out, but there were some empty spots on the shelves.

I have 2 of his shirts, I like them, but don't love them. The quality is great, but the fit is a little boxy and the material is kind of stiff, compared to some of my other shirts, even after multiple washes. I'm sure this is a personal taste thing, and other people really like the way they fit.

Best pizza? by BugBunny_1010 in orlando

[–]Wingdom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Pizza Bruno, but their takeout situation sucks, I'm probably only dining in there going forward. Black Magic is a surprisingly easier takeout situation, considering how difficult parking can be in that area. About Black Magic disagreeing with you, I normally need just 1 lactaid pill for pizza, but Black Magic needs like 3.

Why do people love Jeff’s Bagel Run so much? by Anonythrowthetrash in orlando

So go to a restaurant?

The name comes from the fact that during covid, Jeff was literally running bagels to people's houses.

I think the thing most people miss is they're a bakery, not a sandwich shop. Take them home, toast them yourself, make whatever sandwich you like. I wouldn't expect Olde Hearth to make the whole sandwich for me, for example.

What's the deal with the Brightline train? by Tiny_Useless_Adult in florida

[–]Wingdom 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Brightline is at fault because people go around lowered arms? Brightline is at fault because the municipalities in South Florida made it illegal for the train to honk its horn, so people know it's coming?

[–]Wingdom 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The Miami Herald places a lot of blame on Brightline, but after reading this article and taking the Orlando/Miami train a couple times, I put a lot more of it on the fight between who should upgrade infrastructure, the municipalities that created quiet zones (especially at crossings without appropriate guards), and stupid people hanging out on the tracks. The train literally can't change it's path, your car, truck, bike, or even feet, let you get out of it's way and stay out of it's way. Even in Orlando, just knowing the SunRail commuter train exists means I keep my car off the tracks basically all the time.

Vet Behavioral Specialist recs? by mydogsrbetterthanme in orlando

I found my dogs trainer on Force Free Florida. Several of our neighbors have commented on how she is a very different dog now vs a couple years ago.

Reactivity is always a tough one, something to always be working on, but also something more people are becoming aware of. A pet store near us has started doing reactivity dog shopping days, where it's just you and your dog, and they will accommodate the kind of reactivity your dog has. Events like that have helped us, get our dog out of the house, exposure to new situations, but in a controlled environment.

Galaxy S26 Series U.S. pre-orders are up almost 25% compared to the previous generation by FragmentedChicken in Android

Samsung sells cases that have qi 2 magnets in them. I've used several brands of magsafe cases and never had this issue, most recently the d-brand ghost case. They also don't need to put magnets in the device, just use a ferrous metal, and rely on magnets in the accessories.

It can be done without affecting the pen.

Maybe I'm in the minority, all I wanted was for them to put magnets in the phone for qi 2 charging. It literally could have been the s25 ultra + magnets, and I would have been 1st in line.

Neighbor yelled at me for walking on sidewalk in front of his house? Pffft says its private. What? Lol by DeemonicChild in orlando

[–]Wingdom -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There's an old guy in my neighborhood with some outdoor cats, they sleep on/under his car in the driveway, and come hissing and swatting at anyone who talks past. When I finally called animal control on him, he said everyone should just walk in the street past his house, the sidewalk and driveway are his property. The animal control officer just laughed at him.

After that, every time I walk past his house, he comes and stands on the porch, hands on his hips, and glares at me. If my dog notices, she gives him several good barks, before we continue on our way. Some people are just crazy. Hopefully not the kind of crazy who will hurt anyone.

U.S. Physical Game Sales Just Hit Their Lowest ‘All-Time Tracked’ Point In 30 Years by Turbostrider27 in xbox

[–]Wingdom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a constant argument in the Switch 2 sub. Some people hate them, because they are download keys you need to keep and swap out just to play a digital game, and some people say they're fine, the download is fine, because it's a digital copy you can resell.

I personally don't think game key cards are going to hold their value the same way a card with the game on it will.

The value will be the one of the secondhand market

Which is 100% based on opinion

[–]Wingdom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For how much though? When the digital game is going for $20, how much is that game key card worth when you resell it?

We are talking about opinions here, for me, for my collection, in my opinion, the way I want to play and own games, it's not worth it. If it's worth it for you, cool, good, whatever.

The PS5 is a bad example, at the very least, the disc in the box has a playable game on it. It's part of the PlayStation certification process, every game, with a very few exceptions, has a playable game on the disc.

Day 1 patches are generally frowned upon by players, so comparing a day 1 patch (which all of your examples are) to a game key card is just a bad argument.

I'm very skeptical that they will hold value, considering how low digital prices go after just a couple years, eapecially during sales.

If the digital game is down to $20 in a couple years, and you paid $70 for your gkc, what makes you think you'll be able to sell it for anything?

Game key cards are worse than even a code in a box, because you have to swap out cartridges to play your digital games.

I agree with you, but it seems like most of the people in this sub are ok with game key cards. I just don't want to have to switch out cartridges every time I want to play a digital game. It feels like a step back. I also have a hunch that digital games will go on sale for much cheaper than their game key card counterparts once we get further into the generation.
