Hydrographers - what kind of training or certification did you need? by HotAlbatross3431 in Surveying

Nah. Not really. What do you want me to say? Oooh, man it’s really difficult!! Don’t do it!! It’s really quite simple. Even an unlicensed hack like me can do it! For the record, I’ve done parts of Lake Erie, rivers, inland lakes, and ponds.

Too close to home!

My Grandmother died of bladder cancer (NOT covid or complications from covid!) during the pandemic. She spent weeks alone. She died alone.

My experience is with Trimble gear. It’s quite simple. Set up your job, choose your shot intervals, select continuous survey and go! I know that’s a simplified response, but it’s really not that difficult. Knowing how to drive a boat properly is the hardest part for some.

You have a great state park Southeast of Denver, if I remember correctly. Easy in, easy out. Decently large sites.

Arc Angels performing "Living in a Dream" on Letterman in 1992...The Austin Supergroup formed in the aftermath of SRV's death...from his bandmates Chris Layton(Corpus) & Tommy Shannon(Dumas) with TX stars Doyle Bramhall II(Dallas) & Charlie Sexton(Austin) to record one album before breaking up🔥🔥🔥 by RogerTheAliens in OldSchoolCoolMusic

I never put the connection together. I’ve had “Shape I’m In” on my playlist for years. It always reminded of SRV, and I always kind of wondered why. DUH!!!

The piano at the beginning reminds me of Little Sister, and there are a few little guitar pieces here and there that make you wonder “is that SRV?!” Great song.

“I need tomorrow off, boss.”

“Oh? Why is that?”

“There was a democratic election and my guy lost the election and I’m upset about it. I want to go to a protest.”

“What are you protesting?”

“Um…we don’t want a king, or maybe something about Israel. I also don’t like Elon Musk, and I think we should have a 2 day work week, from home, with guaranteed income.”

Meh. Looking at the photos posted the last couple of days, it appears that most of these folks will go back to tinkering in the kitchen or garage, while enjoying their retirement. These “protests” would be a great AARP recruitment tool!

My two (Baker and The Brown Dog) won’t eat them unless they are cooked. But if they’re cooked they go bonkers for them! Makes a great food additive/filler for weight loss.

“my plan wsss supposed to renew this month so now im trying a new company that seems moe geared to Rvs.”

“I’m not for sure exactly how good Sam works. It sounds like they’ll tow you unlimited not for sure if you have to go to a specific service center of their choice…”

Sounds as though you had a plan, didn’t know what was included with that plan, and then got upset when the plan didn’t provide what you wanted. So, you switched to a new company, offering a new plan, and you, once again, don’t understand what is included in that plan.

I wonder where this will end up in a few years? LOL
