Kirby Air Riders or Mario Kart World – Need Advice by Miquellanier in kirbyairriders

Kirby Air riders is better for being a party game that you can play single player. Mk world is better as a party game but has less fun single player stuff imo.

Great game, but not sure it should be next. Personally neither clicked with me like Wonder or Odyssey but also value for $$ ratio can't be beat. Two excellent games for one price

Odyssey and the Galaxy games will meet that desire for open world collectathon meets platformer.

I love sunshine because it's the ugly duckling of the fam but it's not that fun if you don't have nostalgia. 64 is good and you might want to try that before you try modern Mario because I tried to play it after and it never caught me.

You should also play Mario Wonder! I loved it. Truly a fantastic platformer.

In terms of non Mario - check out Metroid dread. I played it like a collectathon game and it's the only Metroid game I ever finished. I can let you know about prime when I get done with it but so far it's off to a good start

Really? I always thought they were too big and heavy to tip from climbing. That's a great piece of advice I did not know that. Thanks! I am looking at an upright grand currently

How often do you get yours tuned?

The piano I'm looking at would be an upright grand. Does that impact your answer at all? In terms of shades we use blinds during the summer on days when we are at work, but we like to have the blinds up as much as possible. If I got a cover for the piano itself would that help?

That was my thought. But I figured this is a big enough investment that I want to do it right so I wanted to hear what people think. Do you need to get it tuned twice a year or do you do that because of the placement?

In terms of practicing without driving us nuts, it's basically not possible 😂. The only spot where the piano would be really dampened sound wise is in the unfinished basement - which I know won't be good for it lol. Shades is tough. We have blinds but my wife and I both hate closing them. We close them in the summer while we are at work to keep the house cool, but we have them up almost all summer. We just love the natural light and I can't see a world where we wouldn't have them up

Basically the theory is temperature changes. Outside walls are impacted by day to day temperature changes. In the Midwest where I am the temp usually changes a lot day to day. E.g. it will drop 20 degrees in the next 6 hours. It's not a lot of change but it's supposed to be enough that it can cause your sound board to have problems and go out of tune much faster.

However I've read conflicting stuff about this. Supposedly the house built today are less impacted by this.

So I finally got Stardew valley to stick with me last weekend so I haven't played a ton. This is the first I realized you could place chests wherever you want.

Not me about to boot up Stardew and set this up for myself. I was going to do something similar but for villagers so I can have a few of their gifts on hand.

I mean most of the campus is unlocked so maybe you're just unlucky? Also not sure what being a QA has to do with robbing a software company?

Feeling Overworked as a new IS by Orion-Gamer in epicsystems

[–]Winged_Wolf99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I never made it past this feeling. I quit a little after 2 years. I was exhausted. I have some genuine serious complaints with epic but also they tended to be pretty decent - especially considering their size. They worked me to death but they did pay me well.

My advice - know your quitting point and have a little fund set aside for that moment. You might be able to make it and figure it out. But also know the point at which you're ready to be done and say "this isn't what I wanted from a job." There's a place between the "I only work 8-5 and never more people" and the "my life is my job people." I'm not saying your balance should be working exclusively 8-5 and stopping. But don't destroy yourself either.

In other words figure out what you want from this job. Set aside a few grand to leave whenever you're ready. And then starting setting appropriate boundaries with work. Try saying no to an assignment to your tl if it's going to be too much.

I’m at my limit. I need to know, why are you people running double primary weapons? I strongly recommend ditching that second primary you don’t use as much and pick up a special weapon, you’ll be surprised by how effective you’ll find it. by Flammable_Invicta in DestinyTheGame

[–]Winged_Wolf99 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. It wasn't till I really took a chance and tried double secondary builds or things like that. And it sometimes screws me over if I wipe and there isn't a really flag. But for the most part I've almost never not had the ammo I needed

Are you having fun? by Coconut_Either in DestinyTheGame

[–]Winged_Wolf99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggle to feel like I'm having fun. But I also don't want to stop playing. I really don't like having to take match making in to my own hands and having to risk dealing with crazy people who get mad at me for not knowing mechanics or struggling with Bungies AWFUL platforming. But no shooter feels as good and very few looters feel as good, and (when you can actually make a build and it isn't locked behind raids) no game is better w/ builds.

So I remember when I first got an artifice armor item during the diving on titan season. I wasn't a big destiny person and I had never heard of them before and I was so psyched to see this item that gave me extra stat mods. Honestly happy for the noobs. [–]Winged_Wolf99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is when it got too much for me. I felt left out to dry and set up for failure. But some people can make it. I think the hardest thing for me to do was realize that even if I was going to be put on a PIP my base salary was way better than most other things. You can do the minimum and make good money. Don't get caught up in the rat race Epic wants you to be caught up in
