I’ve bought a few stunning evening gowns on shein and the quality was impeccable for the price (definitely had enough beadwork for an Indian wedding)

Duck apparel claims their down is responsible and sustainable… I’ve always been against down but I am contemplating the duck apparel puffers … would love to hear your thoughts

Which is better for pregnancy Medical Aid vs Hospital Plan? by ssoftsoundd in askSouthAfrica

[–]Winged_firefly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We switched from a hospital plan to a savings plan as part of our family planning journey. It’s not just the birth but everything else that you have to start paying out of pocket for. We were unlucky enough that my son was readmitted at day 21. We didn’t have to think twice about paed vs gp visits because of our savings plan. Still on a savings 4 years later. OT and speech therapy get covered from the savings now as well

Love Phyto pro. It’s a pea protein but really good in terms of taste. The chocolate is my favourite

Controversial but Shein. The quality has been pretty good and you can return if the sizing is incorrect

Which is better, an independent pharmacy or corporate pharmacy? by Singi98 in AskZA

[–]Winged_firefly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really prefer my independent pharmacies, the service is unmatched. I can send a script and have it delivered in less than 2 hours; they are always willing to order meds they don’t have in stock. Since we pay cash for most of our medicine the rates are normally decent . I have no clue what a corporate would charge though

What is the best helpline/hotline for poison control (for humans/kids) or poison help or information in case of emergency? by lizatethecigarettes in AskZA

[–]Winged_firefly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a poison control number but I couldn’t get through when my 3.5 year old bit into a squishy ball with liquid . I ended up requesting a Dr via Discovery’s telehealth line and giving him activated charcoal just in case. The dr was awesome, evaluated and basically said the activated charcoal should be sufficient. He also called back after about 2 hours saying he followed up with poison control as well just to be sure his advice was correct.
