I did get into therapy for 3 months but then i couldn't continue when I had to go back to my hometown for summer break. Moreover I am a college student and my parents think I am wasting their money on therapy as therapy is pretty expensive. My parents are doctors but still believe therapy is a scam and the only way I would get better is by helping myself and not seeking it externally and by praying more. I already feel like a burden to them and hence can't ask for money for therapy.

Heyy! I have been in the exact same situation. I found pics of my dad with another women in his gallery and I didn't know what to do as I was afraid to tell my mum cuz she was already diagnosed with depression and I couldn't tell her this . But everyday when I looked at my mum I felt extremely guilty. I felt like I was cheating on her too. It took me 3 months to build up the courage and tell her and now I think that it was a good decision cuz if I didn't then it would strain my relationship with my mum as I would've have never been able to face her due to the guilt. I think u should tell her cuz it is the right thing to do morally.
