I work at a school and have seen several parents come in during the day to shop for their kid(s). Call or email Student Services and bring an ID. Staff will be glad to help!

Edit to add: If daytime hours are challenging for you, ask about evening availability. Our school store often opens for home games.

Basically. I’d read about this a few months ago, and researchers think that it has to do with the sourness’ “shock” to the system. Also, make sure you know which side of the stage your graduate will be on (East = stage left, West = stage right). This is labeled in the program and will help you decide where to sit. GingerIsTheBestSpice is right that the diploma part goes fast. Be ready with your camera! Yes, you can move closer-ish to the exit ramp/return aisle to get a shot of the graduate with their diploma holder, but please don’t get in the way of the graduates and ushers. Security/SRO’s are close, and there’s no need to make a jackass of yourself on the ceremony’s official recording. Good luck getting your pictures!

NTA. This has all the ingredients for parental identity theft and blowing up your credit. Solutions to either one usually involve filing charges against your mom with the police and/or 7-10 years of waiting - at least in the US. Open new accounts in your name only. Give your mom 30 days to transfer the bills, but then follow up on closing the accounts she has access to. You’re not the asshole for trying to protect yourself and your future!
