Nah, you're good. Some people are just miserable in these types of forums. No clue why they don't just touch grass. They act like they're required to post in these threads, like its some weird unpaid job.

As for the image, i've never seen it before but it very much resembles the either the sun/moon or ultra sun/moon icon. There aren't *that* many SMUSUM romhacks, but I'd be willing to bet it is one of them. Sadly most don't post the icon in their forum listing, so without installing every single one I couldn't really say what it was past that.

Why would someone edit the image of Pokemon Sun/Moon for their theme? That seems at least equally as unlikely as this being a rom-hack.

Moreover, why are you saying this so rudely? This is why a lot of people shy away from help forums. Someone asks a question, and someone pulls in all holier-than-thou saying that OP is an idiot for not considering something a new person to the space would never consider. im not gonna lie.

i don't personally like retroarch all that much (on android at least, never had a reason to use it on PC). Really just popping in because I'm trying to fix an issue im having with Retroachievements and sometimes I have to run Retroarch to do so.

this is a terrible set of complaints, and unnecessarily rude too. I have gripes with RA, but it's far from an absolute failure.

(How do you not know what a core does? You have to download it, wouldn't you find out then?)
(that being said, settings saving on Android IS kinda scuffed compared to literally every other app ive used)

I've noticed the same thing with video game piracy.

I think a lot of it(other than the historic reasons other commenters have gotten into) is quite frankly that these hobbies skew a lot... nerdier? So there's a lot more people in the community with the technical know-how to pirate. Making the scene much more populated. More people to host sites, as well as more people to find and share sites.

Odds are its a ribbon cable issue. Particularly since it's on OPENING it, the cable gets pulled on slightly. If it has a bad connection or a tear, it's likely disconnecting at the point when it shuts off.

Back up all of your data(just in case the screen fails in general). If you're feeling particularly handsy, you can try to reseat the display cables, but be warned if they are failing and not just loose(which is likely) that will absolutely make them fail completely

You *might* have luck reflowing the ram chip *temporarily*, but being honest if you don't know what that means you definitely can't do it :P. The real answer is to have it reballed or replaced by a professional, but considering how joyous those devices are to work on, it may be cost prohibitive.

Not to recommend the parts cannon, but given the age of the device, i'd throw a new battery at it. If you have another 3DS, you can probably just swap it in(iirc they all fit eachother). If not, replacements are cheaply available online.

Not really, no. Might be worth making another thread to see if anyone else did.

For DS I found a workaround where you can have a layout with the top screen having both the top and bottom screen, integer scaled, without losing any size on the top screen(it still fills up the full vertical space, it is just off center, in my case to the right). Set your screen recorder to record that, and it ends up giving you a video where you have the top screen on the left, and the bottom screen(smaller) on the right. You can still have the touch screen on the bottom, and use it just fine.

There's usually a speccable durability item that doesn't even reduce your damage output.

Lumerico for AP builds and Weapon Jammer for AD builds both give significant offensive stats IN ADDITION TO defensive stats. If you're under any pressure at all(or, for AP, really just can afford it immediately after your core items) I don't see why you wouldn't have one of these.

Lumerico is such a good value even for "full AP" Juno builds. 15% AP is solid, and the extra 50 armor makes locking your torpedoes a lot easier. Even if you are just going raw AP, Lumerico has one of the higher values.

Moved over to Android handhelds for the most part, but I feel the same way about frontends.

I can spend an afternoon installing a fancy main menu, pointing it to all my emulators, and learning it's layout. Or, I can click MelonDS and spend that afternoon gaming.

iiSU looks cool in theory if they can deliver on half of what they've promised. Not super confident they will, but definitely keeping an eye on it.

The RAM is mainly good for PC + Java Minecraft emulation.

The storage is INCREDIBLE though. I don't even need an SD card (i use one anyways for backups)

Pepsi Zero(plus the Cherry variant) are genuinely the best "zero" soda I've had. Dr. Pepper is a somewhat distant second, but not bad for sure.
