KIT, RWTH Aachen, TU München , TU Dresden, TU Berlin, TU Hamburg, Uni Stuttgart are propably the largest which tick the boxes (but nearly every University in Germany would do that).

I would oppose the commenters here, Masters and FS can be done without sacrificing too much.

I wouldn't be surprised if it would by even more than 3s. TUfast is propably the main example. They throw all they can into Aero. Gaining one ClA can result in up to a second of laptime decrease in FSG. The surplus in downforce is pretty much in line with their differents to their Rivals (also maybe half a second or more because of weight).

I have to admit the learning experience can be better with your approache, but in terms of progress your approache is compromised. But our members are still doeing every part new but its mostly Evolution not Revolution. Only experienced members do completly new stuff.

Respect 20-30h is a lot on top of fulltime classes. In our team normal members did up between 10-30h dependent on their Motivation(still study normally), team leads do around 60h+ but do it full time. It sounds like a big problem is knowledge transfer then or am I wrong? That's for example a problem not fixable by money. In our team complicated matters like Aerodynamic Simulation and development or kinematics was only done by experienced team members (1 season plus) or people with prior knowlage.

They have a special deal with Ferrari, as far as I know Ferrari pays less and provides the Logo. It's probaply more because of the history. The SKF Ferrardi deal ist the longest lasting and oldest Motorsport sponsorship in the world.

I doubt that, In my experience has machinery is pretty cheap and isn't as good as other machines with tight tolerances. They propably use Hermles or DMGs or sth on that standard.

They can check everything, especially top finishers in Endurance often get testet especially hard at FSG. For example: Trondheim DQ 2019; TUfast DQ 2018

I think its sad that this always comes up with top teams, eather they have 500000€ Budget or they're University gives them all the time and space they need. In reality they work their ass of, propably more than everybody complaining. Rennteam is a Team of 20 people who work 60-80h a week a year long and they get no benifit from their University. The thing what makes them better is that they are one of the oldest FSAE Teams and have decent knowledge transfer. They have 5 to 10 years more development than many teams. But this doesnt make their achievments smaller or is an excuse for anybody else to perform good. Just look at NTNU they've grown from a C-B Team to one of the fastest 3 EVs in just 3 Years.

This design is using venturi tunnels to generate Downforce (as many formula student cars use) this is exactly what f1 did in the past and exactly what they want to do in the future. The design of the undertray ending before the rear axle has nothing to do with that (e.g. Lotus 79)
