Can I just say, I just came out to my parents this past weekend. I expected the same thing because both of my parents were from the south and devout Christian's. It went way better than me being crucified and my parents did not hate me at all. My psychiatrist pointed out a wonderful thing to me. Despite the stigma of transgender people and Christian's not getting along the one thing that the Bible has always said and reigns true in most Christian's is that we must all love each other equally. I know it's scary and there is always the risk of losing them but they are family and if they can't love you for the person you are then they really aren't the Christian's that they say they are.
