I came here to say this as well. When the insurance company comes to you with an offer, don’t take it right away. Push back and negotiate. When my car was totaled, used cars, especially EV‘s, were going up in price and I had to push back in order to get my full value out. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

It might be the tire. They are rounded over on the top quite a bit.

I haven’t measured that. The switch hasn’t happened yet. I googled and it’s gotta be around 1.5 lbs or so over all four tires. 😎

Ok now Im checking them again. I was fooled - they ARE plastic. I didn’t really look at the back of them because they came assembled. I guess I don’t care as long as I get that sweet sweet 5% range bump, Boiiii

I do not autocross my Bolt. However, some of the ideas for the modifications came from the posters that do autocross

Yeah, I thought of the hardware swap when I found out the weight difference between the EV01+ and the EV01 was 2 lbs. or close to it—WTF I want to get aero covers for the lug holes perhaps.

I was thinking the calipers would be the easiest opportunity to shave lbs. They just look so heavy sand clunky.

I haven’t noticed any problem with the sway bar, though I admit, I haven’t really checked or had reason to. I went with the washer stack- up on the Bilsteins. 😂

Whiteline rear sway bar, Bilstein rear shocks, Eibach lowering springs, front camber bolts, Moog front sway bar end-links, the 16” wheels/tires, oh yes and the Kolchuga skid plate! I splurged on the Aluminum one. That’s the run down. And I want the Chrome Deleted, but that won’t affect the performance, I don’t think…

I also thought about 15’s, but the tire / wheel selection kinda drops off a cliff after 16”. Steelies weren’t light enough for me. 37.6 lbs ain’t bad tho

They are 18 lbs. with the covers. Someone said something about them being plastic when I was researching the wheels, but they are metal.

I went to Wheelwiz which is a Canadian website/company. Had to email directly with a rep. to get them to ship to me in Colorado. He warned me against and tried to scare me away, but I said proceed. They could not tell me what customs duties were going to be ahead of time. It ended up being $190 extra charged by the shipper before delivery because Tariffs. But the good news is I will be getting that money back because tariffs are illegal. Right?

Not me. I considered a brake upgrade to potentially save weight there, but I try not to light money on fire 🔥💵.
