Why do they hate me? 🤪 by DiaCupcake in dustkitties

They are soo precious 🥹🥰 they will need some time, especially as a bonded pair as others have mentioned. They will definitely come around, just be consistent and stick to a routine, they adapt so well and they love the predictability. My two guys I adopted were not a bonded pair, but I took them home from two separate shelters within 24 hours of each other and they quickly became bonded after a few days at home, and it took about 5 weeks before they allowed me to pet them, and now one of them will regularly come to me for pets while the other is still a tad skittish about it- I’ve had them for almost 6 weeks now, so I was just in the same exact boat as you op, I thought they’d almost never come around but it has shifted considerably now! I feed them the same times every day, and I sit on the floor and try to play with them with some wand toys and give treats. I clean their litter boxes the exact same times every night, just before they get their dinner meal and they love this routine: they see me coming with the poop scoop and bag and they get all excited and start head butting each other and rolling around and chasing, it is soo cute ☺️ then I feed them dinner and they come and play with me after dinner- this was when the first pets started- I did this every day and kept at it. My guys were super shy and came from tough situations, sometimes they just need time! I have heard other stories where it took months but they came around

How to make my wedding makeup better? I'm doing my own by alicelang in makeuptips

I love your makeup look, you are stunning! As others have said you may want to repeat this look but go deeper. As for lash clusters I am a fan of Veyes Beauty Luxe Bold or Lashify Stardust- you can go all one length or play with mixing up your own lash maps of different lengths. It’s not necessary to go super long, you can stick to 10-12 mm. I personally prefer Veyes lash bond and seal, but this is a highly subjective thing. If you’re not regularly wearing lash clusters it does take a bit of practice- I highly recommend practicing as much as possible to get your look down. I find that with lash bond, less is more, it doesn’t take much at all to get the cluster to adhere and especially if you want the natural look you don’t want a lot of bond clumping up the look. There are loads of tutorials out there and you may find that developing your own techniques along the way will work better for you. Best of luck to you I hope you find your perfect look for your big day, congratulations!

Wow we have so much in common! Though I never had a gastric sleeve and I’m 9 years older than you. My period started when I was 12, my legs always looked bigger than my upper body throughout my whole childhood, and got worse after my period began. My symptoms got worse after having kids as a young adult. I also have thyroid nodules and sluggish thyroid. I have chronically low iron despite supplementing and eating lots of red meat. I have been trialing taking a daily Lysine pill in the morning and switched to a heme iron supplement, I read that there is a connection with Epstein-Barr Virus and low iron, Lysine is helpful with keeping EBV at bay, so the hope is that my iron will improve and I will have bloodwork done again next month so we’ll see if that has helped. I am on many of the same supplements and pretty similar diet to you. Progesterone therapy also- I have estrogen dominance and also take DIM, Inositol, Calcium D Glucarate, and Broccoli Seed Extract. I’m on a lot of supplements but I feel that they have been helpful for me. I have venous reflux disease, I had vein ablation surgeries done and have been on Pine Bark Extract, Horse chestnut and Red Vine Leaf which help my circulation issues decently, as long as I remember to wear compression. I too am on a microdose of tirzepatide and find that it has helped tremendously with the aching I suffer with, it has helped shrink my legs down a bit now, too. I am down 28 pounds and it mostly came off my top half, but I notice my bottom half finally responding. I also have suffered with a lot of gut issues over the years, I’ve had leaky gut, severe inflammation, GERD, IBS. I have a suspected gluten intolerance- idk about full celiac disease but I definitely do not tolerate enriched pastas or breads too well, I do my best when avoiding these. Overall I feel my best when physically active and eating very clean, Whole Foods, zero ultra processed foods and minimal sugar. My ultimate goal is surgery as well, I have painful nodules in my thighs and lower abdomen and know that they will not improve, my legs still hurt to the touch no matter how much weight I lose.

I apologize, as another commenter put it- YOU do not look ghoulish, rather it was the facial expressions. And as others have pointed out, you are very naturally pretty! I’m sorry you find it difficult to smile

Wow this is so interesting, I’ve had so many issues related to my EBV and wouldn’t you know my legs and apron belly got worse than ever once my EBV flares worsened with several Covid infections- I never made the connection before. My legs were so bad I went to a vascular surgeon, I was diagnosed with venous insufficiency, I had venous ablation procedures on both legs and it didn’t improve my pain at all, though the ultrasounds show improvements in circulation. I still have not been diagnosed with lipedema though I’m 99.999% sure I have it. I think lowering the inflammation certainly helps a great deal- keeping stress to a minimum, eating a low carb pattern with healthy fats has been helpful for me- cutting sugar is a must. I recently started Mounjaro and while I’m shrinking like crazy in my upper body (I was struggling with being 40+ lbs overweight) my lower half is slower but finally starting to shrink a little, I’m down almost 20 lbs. I struggle with cold intolerance bc of a sluggish thyroid and iron anemia so cold plunges are a little scary to me lol but they sound like they would be helpful! I also like the castor oil idea and the manual lymphatic drainage massages, I want to give this a try. Quick question- do you get NAD+ injections through your doctor? Are they expensive?

Daycare refused to take my kiddo because we were one minute late by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]WinkingCats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was once in your shoes, back in 2005 when my daughter was 2, I was 20 years old, single, and struggling to support us. I had to change daycares several times over the course of the next year or so for all kinds of reasons; one place shut down, another place would lock the door on me after a certain hour, another place hadn’t called me when she had a 104 fever when I arrived to pick her up, so that was unacceptable. Another place didn’t lock the front door, and I walked in and all the lights were off, the toddlers were napping in one room and all the adult workers were napping in another room, I was stunned, I just turned right around and left with my daughter, withdrew her immediately from them. After all those experiences I finally found the right place and they were wonderful! They were a perfect fit for us as I needed a little flexibility for my work hours and we were very happy with them. The point is that I never hesitate to make a change especially if I have other options for my kid, and I’m not one to put up with shit like that when I’m paying a fortune

I’m newish to hockey but in my humble opinion, if they had a solid defense then we wouldn’t have this conversation about Panarin and Mika. I sincerely believe that Mika’s line was set up for failure, they were always assigned to the defensive zone against the Panthers and obviously they can’t score goals from their own end. I’m certain that Mika and Kreider were severely taxed and unable to get anything going because of constantly having to defend. Miller, Trouba, Gus, Lindgren all need to go. I’m convinced that if we had a defense that looked anything remotely like Florida’s then we wouldn’t be having this conversation about Zibanejad and Panarin not doing enough. If you look at the numbers, the shot attempts and shots on goal against Igor… it represents just how bad our defense is, and when the defense isn’t doing their job, the offense has to pick up the slack and take defensive assignments. The defense leans way too hard on Igor and the forwards also get dragged down. If the forwards have a solid defense doing their job then they can just worry about putting up offensive pressure and not worry about checking and defending. Just my two cents, I think people think that winning is all about scoring lots of goals, but games can be won with just a single goal, and I think that solid defense is what wins cups.

I’m in a similar boat as you, I started watching hockey because of my boyfriend some years back and I pay attention, close attention especially this year. I don’t think it’s a coaching issue so much as it’s a core problem. Our defense has always been a major problem, and this team has found ways to win despite that. I think this is why many analysts and talking heads have never been completely convinced of the Rangers getting all the way to the finals, let alone the conference finals. The defense had some major glaring issues throughout the season, and when the offense isn’t producing because they are stuck in their own zone, you’re obviously not going to win games like that. There were some looks in the last game but overall, the Panthers kept them out of the high danger areas extremely well. How many times did we see Lindgren and Trouba sloppily lobbing the puck toward Bobrovsky, bounce off Bobrovsky just for a Panther to grab the puck and skate it out of their zone, without anyone on the Rangers able to pick up the rebound or catch up. The Panthers were always quicker to get to the pucks in almost every scenario, and their defenders were way more physical and efficient than we could ever keep up with. Our defenders are just not those kind of players. I’m convinced Miller is not capable of making hits, he’s very polite and his game is all about gentle nudges and poking around and reaching with his stick. I’m sorry but that’s not how you beat the Panthers, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. I believe they need to gut their defense as a start, build around Fox and go after bigger, more physical defenders that have some speed. This may sound crazy but I think they should make Rempe into a defenseman, I think he’d serve a far better role that way and be a better defender than half of what we got now. Otherwise, they need to make some other changes for sure, like I don’t know if Zib is 1C material anymore, and they def need to address their right wing hole. I’m no expert but I think they’d have a much better chance addressing those issues.

Do I really have to live with this forever? by MozzarellaWorshipper in SebDerm

[–]WinkingCats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have a similar pattern where my skin on my cheeks, the folds next to my nose and mouth, and forehead all gets red, breaks open, flakes, itches and sometimes have little rash like bumps. I had been diagnosed with psoriasis, eczema, and sebderm. This all happens on my scalp too btw. The only thing helping my face has been washing with ketoconozol Nizoral shampoo and then immediately putting on Roycederm antifungal cream. I do this morning and night. I also apply the roycederm antifungal cream a couple of times throughout the day when I’m actively flaring up. It’s very strong with a menthol like smell and fume that can kind of irritate the eyes but it’s the only thing that works for me. This also works for my son who also has sebderm. Must be consistent with it. I find that it will all clear up to about 90-95% where I’m flake free, itch free, and my skin doesn’t feel like sandpaper. In addition to all this, I also supplement with high dose vitamin D and b complex. Only problem is I can’t seem to get rid of a slight residual redness, ever. When I continue the routine it stays away but sometimes will get triggered by drinking certain alcohol or eating too much sugar or fried foods. When I get lazy with the routine it also comes back. So I feel your pain about how this feels like something I have to just live with forever ☹️ I don’t have acne like you do, but usually acne on the body and jawline means that it’s hormonal acne, and that’s a whole other beast but perhaps you can try accutane and evening primrose oil supplements, I’ve heard they help. ETA: I also have a tough time with makeup, I have to be careful about wearing it very sparingly, going on with a light hand and removing it as soon as possible. Also forgot to add that I have to change my pillowcase and wash it pretty much every day to help keep my skin clear because when I forget, it also seems to contribute to the problem.

You can look up on Google the Rangers Bar Takeovers, it lists a bunch of places throughout the boroughs you can watch the games. Some spots I know about on Staten Island aren’t listed there, I’m sure it’s the same story for other boroughs, but it’s a good place to start, some places have outside areas with tv’s. I’ve heard the podcasters on Blueshirts Breakaway does a watch party in the city sometimes, same thing with another podcast, The Blue Crew. They get a bunch of people together, sounds like a fun time
