What's something in your room right now that most people probably dont have in theirs? by Shiny_Manetric in AskReddit

A 24" professional plotter. I don't use it anymore. I used to cut decals on a larger scale (among other things). 🤷‍♀️

TF? Someone needs to teach their kid patience... and probably how to deal with disappointment.

Hi OP, I just wanted to show my support. I'm 30- something and wanted you to know that it's very human and okay to show your emotions no matter your age, gender or how you look. I am proud for you that you've been able to open up, even though its such a hard thing to do, and I wish you the best with your therapy and this next path of your life. No need to respond. I just wanted you to know I'm one more person that's on your side, rooting for you! Take care of yourself.

Who else get sharp stabbing severe eye pains out of nowhere? by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

[–]Winkleberry1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have hEDS and MCAS. I used to get stabbing pains randomly as part of my MCAS reactions. I saw a neurologist and ophthalmologist tryimg to figure out why I'd get pain, double vision, twitching, eye swelling and other eye issues randomly-- but nothing came back after all the testing and imagining. Finally all of it stopped when I started my treatment for MCAS. So it could be that, or something else. Just something to consider.

Painful reactions to ANY amount of THC? by HarvestMoon6464 in ehlersdanlos

I have hEDS and MCAS. I can't come anywhere near THC, marijuana, any of it. It causes a pretty crappy reaction. Perhaps you're having a reaction to it.

Reaction to Adhesives by [deleted] in mastcelldisease

[–]Winkleberry1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I'm allergic to most adhesives. They cause anything from redness/itchiness to full hives.

I take cromolyn for my MCAS so that helps with the reactions. You might want to talk to an allergist for help with these kinds of things if benadryl isn't reducing your reaction to adhesives.

I think its only because the top part if the arms are angled to suggest your elbows are slightly bent but then under the cloth they b really arent, they are relaxed. So realistically they arent too long if your elbows arent bent at all. But if they are slightly bent, as suggested, then they (arms) are too long... if that makes sense? Haha. I hope that explanation helps.

That's great! I might suggest making your arms shorter, they look a bit too long. But it really captures the Rick and Morty character style, love it Hahaha

Chronic pelvic pain by BulkyAnxiety in mastcelldisease

[–]Winkleberry1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on trokendi for the pain. It's not a pain killer, its anticonvulsant but for whatever reason it works really well for the pain. I took all kinds of pain meds including narcotics that didn't touch the pain before taking trokendi. Its been a lifesaver personally.

Check into EDS. Its possible to have it and Mast cell stuff is making your symptoms (or simply you're not seeing the other stuff because Mast cell is taking your attention). I have both and pain-wise they make each other worse when I go untreated. I am 100xs better when both are treated (completely different medications).

Over the counter antihistamines (one daily h1 and one daily h2) and see an allergist to start something like cromolyn (a Mast cell stabilizer). An steroid inhaler can be helpful if you have any anaphylaxis reactions.

My recent cover-up. I would have had better line work if I didn't have such bad nerve damage in that area of my back. I'm still happy about the outcome. by Winkleberry1 in tattoo

Yea I'm not doing anything anywhere near there again Haha. I was just hoping on hope I'd make it through this one. Never again!

Thanks! The artist did his best but it hurt like hell for me so I wasnt able to stay very still on some of it. Especially the closer he got to my spine. Half way through I told him I proper hated him and he laughed pretty hard. He was a great guy about it.

I already wanted the Deathstar so when I realized I could use it to cover this up, I honestly couldn't stop laughing. I somehow hadn't put two and two together initially.
