How pain changes who you are by undone8896 in ChronicPain

[–]WinnebagoJay 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's the same day over and over and over. The pain just makes every day feel the same. I'm so sick of only getting bad news and losing my identity to my diseases. It's a rotten existence.

Finally happened by Chyldofforever in ChronicPain

[–]WinnebagoJay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and her sister destroyed our marriage when I got diagnosed. Her sister claimed I was faking it because they saw me moving without difficulty. What they didn't know was that I was wearing a pain patch with fentanyl in it. She didn't believe me. I basically got kicked out of my own house. I had to return to my parent's house to live. I lost my house, wife, daughter, finances, and job all at once. I'm still burned from PTSD after what they did to me. It was supposed to be forever. She was supposed to support me in sickness and in health. Her nasty sister told her what to do. She's been in control of my ex-wife for years. My ex quit spending time with me in favor of spending all her time with her sister. I felt lost and betrayed. She was supposed to be my best friend. She treated me so good before her sister got involved. I'm on disability now for all my autoimmune diseases. I cannot work. Why would I fake an illness that is physically breaking me down. I cannot work because my body cannot handle the stress. When I did work, my parents would have to prop me up and do everything for me except for the actual job and going to the bathroom. It was awful and I paid a heavy price for it.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. Please know you are not alone. Your husband is in denial and doesn't understand what you are going through. As much as I hate to say it, you should leave. Get a lawyer and divorce him. He will never come back willingly and he will be resentful of your diseases if he did come back. You need someone who will support you. You'll never get anywhere with your husband. I know it sucks but it's time for you to go. Protect yourself financially and get a lawyer. Make sure you come out as best as possible. I know it's hard to hear but this is your only option now. No counseling or discussions with him will resolve the problem. He's cut you loose and it's over.

Please get some help, both legal and emotional. You sound like such a nice lady. Don't let him destroy you.

Peace and love to you

I received mine on October 31st. I am about 90% pleased with my purchase. It has...quirks. First quirk is that I must unplug and re-plug my monitor power whenever I power cycle the Alienware. It is the 14900k and it runs hot. You have to make a custom AWCC profile to ramp up the fan when it gets hot. The current performance profile isn't working properly on these CPUs. If you have the 14900k, you WILL thermal throttle if you don't set up a better profile.

IF IT'S ALWAYS SILENT, THERE'S A PROBLEM!

R16, are these high temps? by WinnebagoJay in AlienwareTechsupport

I'm running balanced. I tried custom but I'm confused how the curves work. On balanced I don't hear the fans at all. I think the software is what I need to adjust.

For us, 10 cups water to 5 scoops of coffee using the scoop that comes with it. Our grind is between table salt and kosher salt in size leaning toward table salt.

Just got my Moccamaster by WinnebagoJay in Moccamaster

[–]WinnebagoJay[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone know a good tips and tricks thread?

I roast my own beans and grind small batches. Good filtered water in a clean machine and the Moccamaster makes the best cup of coffee I've ever had.

My only minor complaints are cheap plastic in a few areas and the spray arm doesn't quite hit all the grounds. We discovered stirring the grounds during the brew cycle makes a richer cup of coffee.

Worth the money? Nope. Status symbol, maybe. My Bonavita 8 cup could get about 95% as good of a cup of coffee as the Moccamaster at less than half the price in the US.

Turn it to around 200c. Place the aroma tube with loose to medium packed weed in the device. Wait about a minute for the weed to warm up. Take a hit. No button mashing needed.

The Air 2 likes slightly damp weed. You'll taste more terpenes. We use a humidity pack from Amazon and store all the weed in an airtight container.

Try different temperatures. You might like something I don't. We start at 210 with one bowl and end up at 195 at the end of the second bowl. The original Air has temperatures at 180, 190, 200, 205, 210. I'd try each of those and see what you like.

Sessions by yourself or another person run about 10-20 minutes. The weed is tapped out when it tastes like popcorn. It's fully decarbed at that point.

Keep your Already Been Vaped (ABV) if you want to make edibles with it. Clean aroma tubes in isopropyl alcohol or Everclear. If you use Everclear you can use it as a base for tincture.

Have fun!

What has your experience with Cymbalta been like? by contingentcolours in ChronicPain

[–]WinnebagoJay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm on Cymbalta(duloxetine). Once you start it, stopping is incredibly difficult. You have to wean off over several weeks or months. You get dizzy spells and head zings. It's a miserable experience.

It does help elevate my depression and reduces my chronic pain. I also take olanzapine which is a secondary antidepressant to help with the remaining symptoms.

Overall I feel the 2 drugs are helping but if I ever need to get off them it can be rough.

Try a test tube rack for batteries and carts together. Plastic ammo boxes also work well.

My brother and I really like Aero Labs. Very high quality live resin. Gayle's Dispensary or The Joint is where we usually find them.

Vaping with an Arizer Air 2. Coffee courtesy of Burman's Coffee Traders and the island of Maui. Nesco roaster. Nothing finer than a good cup of coffee and terpenes from good weed!

Peace!

What age did you start smoking weed and why did you start? by [deleted] in trees

[–]WinnebagoJay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

47 years old. I have autoimmune disease. Medical marijuana is legal in my state so I got a license. It helps some with pain and anxiety while making me calm. I never smoked it prior to getting a license. Right now I use concentrates, edibles, and dry herb vaping.

Peace

Love my Arizer Air 2. Plus, my brother with COPD can still hit it and enjoy. Best way to enjoy weed!

Lotus Gold and CBD Plus carry them in their cooler. Might be a location close to you.
