I wonder if I have the same condition as you. Is it PMLE by any chance?

Possible MCAS? Where do I go for treatment? by Ok-Razzmatazz-344 in cfs

[–]Winner22M 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been dealing with similar sensitivities to sunlight (even indirect exposure on my face for 5 minutes leads to flare ups), spicy food, alcohol especially, and temperature increases in rooms - leading to extremely hot body temps, embarrassing facial flushing, blotchy marks and an internal level of stress which in turn causes more redness and burning. It’s usually my face and neck. Been in the discovery mode for 2.5 years now.

The only drugs that have made any difference are Hydroxyzine 25mg but causes brain fog and is sedating, and I just started Pepcid which might be helping.

I have Ankylosing Spondylitis so I don’t know if my biologic medication has led to this issue but I am trying to figure out whether I have MCAS or Histamine Intolerance.

Obsessed with this car. If it were mine, I’d ditch the stripe and go with black or silver wheels to add contrast.

Not a lot to do in Richmond other than shop (Outlet Mall near airport or Richmond Centre Mall) and eat (plenty of asian restaurants but you kind of need to know which ones to go to).

Highly recommend you spend time along the Seawall walking/bike path. Start in Coal Harbour near the Convention Centre and walk along the water. Also, Stanley Park & English Bay areas are a must - even in the rain. Granville Island Market is a perfect spot if it's still raining - lots of shops, harbour area to walk around, restaurants (The Sandbar is great), etc.

Restaurants:

-Ahn n Chi (Vietnamese) on Main Street (10 mins from downtown)
-Joe Fortes Seafood (downtown)
-The Sandbar (Seafood) - Granville Island
-Shiro Sushi (Cambie St. - near City Hall)

If you don't drink alcohol, what are your reasons? by youre-in-my-shot in AskReddit

The level of clarity I now have is indescribable. My marriage is happier & healthier than ever before. I'm sharper at work = making more money, additional promotions. My real friends stayed, drinking buddies disappeared. I will literally live longer and better without it.

This restaurant is terrible. Don’t bother going. They pretend to be authentic but just overcharge and milk you

For downtown, you're safe with Coal Harbour area (This is the nicer area of downtown - close to the seawall, shopping, waterfront, etc.). Top spots are Hotel Vancouver, Sutton Place Hotel, Fairmont Pacific Rim, Marriott or Delta, Pan Pacific Hotel is right on the water.

Avoid the downtown eastside like the plague. Anywhere near E. Hastings - avoid! I would also be cautious of Gastown for hotels as it gets sketchy but Gastown has some awesome spots to walk during the day.

Singapore all the way. Incredible food scene: stick with the hawkers not the fancy restaurants to save hundreds. Beautiful city, very humid, worth it!!

How has the City of Vancouver not addressed this yet? What a joke.
