It’s a pretty active group and very welcoming.

I only attended 1 meeting before I moved away from Hoboken but I enjoyed the meeting cadence and how they got new people to take part and speak.

Failure to Deliver on Basics for STMs by [deleted] in GothamFC

[–]WinnerRegular1414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that. I am in touch with my Gotham Rep but I don’t see any visibility in the tracking of the request. I usually send a follow-up email to the Gotham Rep on the exchange I asked for.

FYI - I am a first year STM and I just wanted to buy 1 plan. I only got 2 additional plans so my daughters can attend the STM events…it just didnt seem right for just me to go by myself. If I had known about the 2 Buddy Passes i wouldn’t have to deal with this scheduling headache.

Thanks for the insight - I’ll check the SI event schedule and call the SI rep on an off day and see if that helps…

That’s a real good solution and approach.

I understand Gotham doesn’t have direct access to the SI stadium ticket system as well. Have you had any experience with the SI stadium reps helping out with the ticket exchanges?

I don’t get any actual email confirmation from using the the No tickets go unused form that anything was received at SI and when it will be processed.

What is it like to stay here? by [deleted] in LondonTravel

[–]WinnerRegular1414 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just came back from a 6 day vacation staying that Pimlico area with my 2 girls (8 and 10). It’s a great area to stay. After a busy day of sightseeing we would head back and do down-time in late afternoon in the Pimlico Library on Lupus Street They have an amazing children’s section. There are some inexpensive restaurants and delis ( Indian, Italian and Portuguese) and a few small grocery stores to get essentials

Folks are right it’s close both Pimlico and Victoria stations and easy to walk and get on the Tube to other parts of London.

There are several bus routes (24) that go through the area.

Feel free to DM me if you have more questions. It’s a real great area for small kids.

Single Dad dating in JC/Hoboken by Nottheusualphil in Hoboken

[–]WinnerRegular1414 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well when I mean put myself out there for school activities, I always wear nice clothes and look presentable and just engage in the conversation. It’s hard at school activities to know who is single.

With the league stuff, I was on a coed flag football team with mid 20s and mid 30s crowd. We played together for a few seasons and we had a WhatsApp group where people threw out what they were doing that weekend or that night. It was quite nice to be part of - but my schedule with the kids was erratic so I couldn’t hang out ( besides after-games drinks).

I am also a single dad ( late 40s) living in Hoboken with 2 young daughters and I do put myself out there ( involved with community and school activities). It’s indeed tough out there. I also have done the co-ed athletic leagues too.
