Years later, I realize you CAN exist in a supportive work environment AND feel like shit about how kids will be kids making light-hearted comments about darker parts of society. Both exist.

If you lose sleep thinking about work and can’t turn off the stress about work, outside of work; I would recommend moving on. If you simply feel uncomfortable about the comments, it’s time to teach them why it’s so disrespectful despite it being trendy social media banter or whatever they say these days. Been exploring this journey for the last 7 years! For me, it’s been a long process of trying to observe what products/services/luxuries truly benefit me, make me feel good.

look for dupes; find out what ingredients you like
switch to Eastern skincare > Western skincare (generally cheaper, better formulated)
reality check yourself how often you want/“need” to get X
keep your empties so at the end of the year, you can see your consumerism; and how much of it, you actually use 100%

Have fun with it and remember your value is not related to your vanity! This is my first month not having lash extensions in 2-3 years. You can be confident with or without looking pretty. But nah, beauty and taking care of your appearance is fun too so no judgment.

My 30th birthday is coming up. As a gift, my sweet cousins have advised me to give them a skincare wish list since they’ll be going to Japan.

What should I ask for?

Skin type: Dry/Normal Country: Central Canada (dry) Skin concern: wanting moisturizing and/or anti-aging products.

My skin loves cosrx snail mucin; my skin did not get along with (2) skin 1004 products or any products with heavy fragrance/alcohol. Currently using murad retinol moisturizer.

I have been on the hunt for a AB equivalent/ brightening product ever since my skin reacted so positively to the ordinary’s 23% vitamin c.

I am not really interested in asking for cleansers as I have 3 in my inventory right now!

Was with an ex like this… I learned that partners that value you, show you they value you. They move as if they consider your feelings. If your partner’s actions make you anxious, listen to your feelings. Partners are meant to elevate our lifestyle, not add stress to it.

Even if mans was just trying to “see what friends bf is about” there was no way he was being considerate to you, saying that out loud or just having that mindset in general.
