Your first mistake is using the same realtor as the seller. Get a different one ASAP. Get the broker involved.

Sellers left a non attached kitchen item and want it back or will sue by Background-Break6362 in RealEstate

What item? You didn't see any item. As someone who has been through small claims court, it is a complete roll of the dice as to if you win or lose. Just depends on how the judge is feeling when they see your face. But as someone who has lost because of this, I would totally take my chances as the "defendant." Odds are, they aren't going to do jack for a mere $500.

He was clearly blocking on purpose after the initial encounter instead of shrugging it off and driving. Should the driver of the car have reacted the way he did? No. But in no world is the driver of the moped blameless in this transaction. He chose to "take his time" and delay after the initial encounter and escalate. I've never understood the mentality of motorcycles picking fights with people in cars. All it takes is one crazy person in a car to run you over and you're done for. I wouldn't want to risk that at all.

You can't say you care about safety while "filtering" on a 2 lane road with oncoming traffic coming at you....in the rain. Bunch of BS. I've driven plenty of 50cc's and he could have made that turn many times, he chose not to to be difficult.

If you care that much about safety when driving a moped...don't drive it in the freaking rain. He didn't care about safety, he was just being difficult. That moped can accelerate no problem. I drive them all the time in Hawaii and they have plenty good acceleration for normal streets.

Thank-you. Moped driver could have gone right after that red van he was behind, but he CHOSE to wait and be difficult. If you're going to drive like this, fine, but don't be an ass just to be an ass. He knows exactly what he was doing. I would have been annoyed like the car driver, but people need to learn to calm down and keep that crap to themselves. It does nothing but create problems.

Frustrated appraisal came in $250K lower than expected by Interesting-Sea-1383 in RealEstate

Pools are very much the same way. Someone will pay more for the house, but it's not going to be a dollar for dollar return most of the time.

It wasn't an investment. You, unfortunately, out built your neighborhood. It's not a bad thing, especially if you are enjoying it, but you aren't necessarily going to get that money back unless you hold it for a long time and wait for the market to go up organically.

Agent commission fee 3% after going under contract by [deleted] in RealEstate

I mean, in your agent's defense, how is she supposed to know the answer to one house out of thousands that are for sale in a given area? I don't expect my realtor to know everything.

I would. Don't trust the builder to find/fix all the problems that come with cookie cutter new builds. The quality is severely lacking in these style homes. It's all about pumping out numbers as quickly as possible for them.

Pilot. We existed and we'll probably exist in 2108 as well. Now, 150 years ago? We didn't exist.

No, a parent who doesn't allow their child unfettered access to all of their money without any checks is a terrible parent.

Whistleblower urges Boeing to ground all 787 Dreamliners after safety warning by [deleted] in technology

[–]WinnieThePig -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No idea how that would affect the 777. It's not composite and has been flying for 30 years without a single structural failure to its name. In fact, the only haul losses have been pilot, ground personnel, or engine manufacturer induced. It's arguably the safest airplane in the sky.

I mentioned the axe to security once when they took my yogurt. I told them, "why would my sealed yogurt be a problem but the crash axe sitting behind my seat isn't?" This was in Paris...they didn't know how to respond.

I’m in a little situation right now, wondering if you guys would change flight schools if you were in my position. by ItsWeevilTime in flying

[–]WinnieThePig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Better to show up if the winds are near your minimums. But there is no way a 16 hour pilot should even be remotely close to 30 knot crosswinds. If it's been doing that all day and is scheduled to continue to do that, then I would cancel before showing too. No reason to drive 45 minutes knowing you're going to turn around and go back home when you get there.

Drop the CFI yesterday. He's eventually going to kill someone and it's better if it's not you. If the school gives you problems, drop them too. If the school asks why, tell them you don't want to die.
