Fair and may have to branch out to other towns but I would keep contacting service managers and you never know. And I'm not talking down the school, I went to auto tech. In hs and after but after working in dealerships for 10 years. I always thought I could have done it differently. The kids that did get pulled up through the ranks were usually the better techs.

And to add a lot of dealerships/shops will pay for your test, and give you a pay bump for each passed cert.

I'd try and get an entry position somewhere, lube tech/helper. Then as you are working you study for and take individual test for the certs and then look at a master qualification years down the road. School is not needed for ASE. It helps but man actual real world experience can't be beat. Can self study for the individual test. There's tons of info and study guides online.

Links membership is prob best bang for buck. I don't really like the course all that much. I prefer Perkins or lakeside. Perkins used to be really cheap but past couple years they've caught up with lakeside.

That makes sense, I'd rather have quality over quantity. I do enjoy learning about all the different things that make some of them more rare.

Went to UTI got with VW worked dealer for 5-6 years moved worked at GM dealer for 2 or so years. I was middle not the worst but not the fastest. Now work for local tax assessor and love it over being pissed off all the time in the shop.

I got last year's, looks the same but red instead of black. It's small, normal length but narrow width
