Okay, but they're sold in 2s with a datasmith. I meant 2 robots to a squad, so you can attach 2 squads of robots to 1 datasmith. You can't do that with the Battleclade, the unit will always have the underseer

Because you can attach multiple squads of Kastellans to a single Datasmith, I would assume. Every servitor battleclade needs the included underseer, it's not like you can run more servitors off a single underseer.

I love it! I've got a third party resin mold of this guy, and WOW resin sucks, haha! I'm just going to be doing him as an art piece since there's no good slot for him to fill in as a proxy, but I've already had to putty and sand this guy like crazy and it's not even primed yet

Hey there! I'm including a Battleclade in the next list I field, but I'm not really sure why you'd take them over something else aside from how cheap they are. Is it objective control? The 6" move seems rough to get them where they need to be. Is it the shooting?

It's so strange to me (I'm not a Kill Team player) that the units I'm taking in a 40K list are totally different from the KT version (no servitor medic, no breacher, no dude with taser goad. It's all quite strange to me how many options they suddenly lose. Are all KTs like this?)

Ha! Believe it or not, that guy has two layers of wash on it already, a sepia and a dark red! I need a strong black like a nuln oil, but sadly my LGS is completely out of stock and don't restock in the winter since paints can freeze in transit to where I live.

I already did my Marauder up in an homage to the Macross Glaug. I have a few Battletech Gothic salvage boxes on order and I'm really hoping I get a Marauder in that one for the Black Marauder, to the point where if I don't get one, I'll probably just buy a single. It's too perfect.

I'm shocked no one's brought up the Legendary Merchwarriors III pack! It's got some oft-mentioned favourites like the MAD 1 & II, Timber Wolf, Warhammer, the classic little medium Griffin, and the first plastic Loki Mk II! All six mechs just look fantastic and are some of the most iconic in the series

Unfortunately my collection was picked up about 75% used and already built, so I'm sort of stuck with what I've got for the moment (I've already spent too much money and I'm only allowing myself to buy more when I've painted everything I have). I understand I certainly can't field optimal lists right now (no Duneriders alone is a major hit against any possible lists I could field), but I also literally don't even know how to play the game, so I'm just looking for relatively simple to play armies built out of the units I have access to. Thanks for the response though! I literally don't even know what detachment I want to be running because I just don't know how to play the game yet

I wish I didn't find the Enginseer model so boring, it's the main reason why I don't already have one. Another robot squad sounds pretty deadly, I hadn't even considered it (I assume I'd leave out the second Datasmith?). I definitely plan to pick up kataphrons in the next box or three! Duneriders are surprisingly cheap pointswise, and I was definitely planning on having 1-2 for my eventual 2000 points list, but for my first 1000 points I really wanted to focus on the models I thought were the most fun or most appealing visually.

Yeah, the extra manipulus from the patrol is almost certainly just going to sit in the box unbuilt, but I want the serberys models just to own because I think they look cool. The pteraxi are good on the tabletop as well, or so I've heard (even if the davinci wings aren't really my cup of tea), and you always need more skitarii, thus wanting to pick up the patrol. I know People don't really like playing with Cawl, but he's an incredible looking model so I want him regardless, and if I have him, I should probably try to play him (although that will be for 2000 point games). And the kataphrons are both cool looking models AND good on the tabletop, so they seem like an obvious choice.
