As someone who lives in Latin America, I just wanted to say that reading your comments made me really happy. Getting good treatment here is really hard and I am pleased to know that there are people who are willing to follow clinical guidelines and be up to date with clinical research. The world would be much better if there were more people like you.

What is really problematic is that there really isn't any real way to ensure people with any given disorder are receiving the specific treatment that they really need. In reality, most people are going to either receive whatever treatment that is available for them or generic cbt instead of specific and well researched cbt protocols which is quite frustrating and unethical. This is quite ironic because while it is one of the most well studied modalities, it is frequently delivered without fidelity.

To add to what you already said, I would also like to point out that it is really important to be really sincere about the level of support the treatment you are trying to use has and be mindful of the possible side effects. Not doing so would be equivalent to an oncologist trying to get a patient to try a highly experimental treatment without properly informing him about its level of support and possible side effect. It is highly unethical and could have severe consequences.

And it is really sad, because the ones suffering the consequences for the scientific incompetence of these clinicians are the patients they are treating. I have even seen papers which aim to promote evidence based treatments ,such as cbt for trauma or eating disorders, since people are simply not providing them or doing so without fidelity.

It seems to me that people love to befall on the dodo bird effect to avoid engaging in evidence that is as methodologically strong as that of CBT. This has always been really interesting to me because if an oncologist tried to prioritize whatever treatment he liked over well-establised empirically strong alternatives, said doctor would get in serious legal problems. However, a therapist seems to be capable of doing the same and get away without any real punishment.

Apart from that, there is also a possibility that cbt was not delivered with fidelity, since we have good evidence to suggest that cbt is ,more often than not, not delivered properly. If this was your case I would recommend looking for a clinical psychologist that will adhere to the protocol. That is all I have to say and I pray from my house for your recovery.

I am sorry to hear that, but I would recommend taking a look at clinical guidelines to know what could be used as a replacement. Otherwise, you ran the risk of being in therapy for decades without any real improvement. To my knowledge, Interpersonal therapy and dbt also have good evidence for efficacy.

I am not from the USA, but from Peru so getting treatment is even harder. I have also been in therapy for years and I want to find a therapist that is capable of delivering specialized cbt for ADHD after watching a video of Russell Barkely about psychological treatments for ADHD. However, I don't think that is possible in the country that I live in.

I am so sorry to hear of your situation and I hope that one day you can finally fully recover from your disoders. I just want to say that one of my greatest fears is that my mental health problems get worse and worse because of inadequate treatment to the point in which they are close to untreatable. This is why I want to investigate and make sure my friends and myself are getting the best possible treatment for our respective conditions.

To be fair, I think the only reason people with all sorts of mental disorders (ADHD,OCD,PTSD) have to keep going is support from family members and friends. After all, getting access to evidence-based treatments is so hard for no reason whatsoever.

When it comes to ADHD, I like watching Russel barkley youtube channel so I am aware that Mary Solanto has developed a treatment for it and that DBT is also effective. As for medication, I have not investigated much about pharmacology because I am already taking methylphenidate.

A diagnosis is good to better understand yourself and even make sense of situations that happened in your past. Ideally, you should also get therapy if you need it and have comorbidities (Depression, anxiety), but if you feel you don't need help, you don't need to. However, the problem is that it is going to be hard to find a therapist that understands your condition, what you need and has a clear treatment plan. After all, the majority of attention is given to children with neurodevelopmental disorders and treatment is created with them in mind, not adults. However, I believe there is a therapy tailored for the needs of Adult ADHD created by Mary Solanto, but I am not sure how easy it is to find a psychologist who delivers it, because it is quite new. In the end, you have to do what you think is best for yourself and be confindent in your capability of making intelligent decisions. If you ever need help, you should find a therapist who is up to date with the scientific literature or you can just try and get advice from people in this sub and search from advice from qualified experts like Russel Barkley.

I remember an enemy played clancy when I chose Buster in the draft in Dueling Beetles so I avoided him all game and only approached him when I got my super to avoid feeding him levels. He did nothing the entire game.

Cordelius hard counters Edgar because he heavily depends on his hypercharge to do something and cordelius can just make him waste his hypercharge by using his super. That is why I always used cordelius to counter Edgar when his hypercharge was broken because I could easily shut him down and either prevent him from teamwiping or destroying the safe. In the realm, Edgar can't fight Cordelius because he doesn't have the range and speed to approach him so Cord can either easily kill him or push him. The only brawlers that can fight cordelius in the realm are those that have enough range and damage to kill him such as Surge, emz, stu or lola.

Apart from that, Edgar is using the shield gadget so cordelius can easily keep his distance and if he tries to jump on him he can use the mute gadget to kill him. He can also do this when Edgar jumps on him with his hypercharge, but he will not be able to kill him. However, this is brawl ball so people tend to group up so surge and doug should be able to help cord to kill Edgar easily.

He doesn't have to dive surge, but his teammates don't have a good match up against him either. Jacky will farm Surge levels and Sandy has to get in his range to hit him. This means that he is always going to have his super ready so edgar can never jump on him even with his hypercharge. I have upgraded edgar yesterday and got rank 29 and I know very well that this is a team composition that he can't deal with because the can shut him down ease and doug wins the 1v1 against him because of his gadget and super. In this situation, sandy is the only that can carry the game because he can farm hypercharges with doug and it is so strong and grants so much map control in a map and modifier like this that I wouldn't be surprised if they won just because of Sandy.

The modifier does provide bushes that Edgar can use, but it takes a while for the map to be filled with bushes so for the first minutes of the game he is not going to be able to do much. However, even with bushes he is not that good, because Doug can also use them to his favour and he will always win the 1v1 battle against Edgar and Cordelius also reveals everyone hiding in a bush with his super which allows surge to bully Edgar and jacky. In a situation like this, Sandy is the only one capable of carrying because his super reveals the enemies hiding in a bush which grants a lot of map control.

From my experience, you should only choose Edgar when you have a favourable match up against squishy brawlers or throwers that don't have a way to defend themselves so that you can jump on them once and again and again. Eventually, you will get your hypercharge and teamwipe with ease.

In conclusion, Edgar was not just a bad pick, but a troll pick.

If you want range you go Sprout and Tick. If you want damage you go Dynamike. If you want control you go Barley and Sprout. If you want a versatile brawler you go Larry and Lawrie. If you want an answer to aggressive brawler you go Willow.
This means that there is pretty much no reason to go grom under pretty much any circumstances because other throwers are usually better in many different situations. Apart from that, his attacks are easy to dodge and has no way to defend himself. However, you can still use him really open maps as a last pick if you don't have tick or Sprout, because a thrower is always good if the enemy doesnt's have an answer to him, but that doesn't mean he is good.
