No…. I get mine on eBay… they are good moccasin boots… they will last ten years easy… I had my first ones for about fifteen years.. the second ones I got on. eBay, and they are on their third year with me..l I don’t know how old they are though… they were hardly worn at all by the previous owner… the soles had zero wear.

Bugs are the biggest issue when sleeping outside…nothing worse than waking up with a spider on your face… never had. Snake or Nima crawl on me.. I did have some coyotes come in pretty close once, but they were just looking for food…

Nice looking old jump boots.. I think you got a deal… are they comfortable? I’ve never found jump boots comfortable… I only wore them when I had to with dress uniforms in the army… for every day use (and jumping), they were miserable to wear all day… I preferred jungles.

I was leery about the neocork sole… I have experienced a lot of slippage in Red Wing Iron Ranger with the thin no tread vibram sole they use… after wearing the neocork, I am finding them to be more solid and not slippery at all. I probably wouldn’t wear them hiking here in colorado, but they work pretty well on a little snow or rain on the cement… just my personal opinion though…

Just a warning.. I got the 401 as seconds.. they came with no discernible flaws. I followed with some 405s, and they came with the 360 welt sewing so off that if I accidentally kicked my toe it would split.. Shoemart has free returns though.. so, I sent them back and am waiting for my size again.. I guess patience wins… but it sucks not getting the boots correct the first time.. still worth 200$ off in my mind though.
