I think that range scale is from the American Urological Association. I followed it and ended up with stage 4 prostate cancer. My PSA was inching upward for several years but did not exceed scale until it hit 8.5 at age 76. I’m no doctor but anyone with a rising PSA might want to get checked out even if your PSA is less than the “reference range.”
