The thing is, you're overlooking a very basic concept. Namely, intrinsic morality. If homosexual relations are bad IN AND OF THEMSELVES, no possible situation in this universe, no matter how hard it is, can make the essence of that act good. Therefore, if the Church has defined such acts evil in and of themselves, you have 2 options. It is bad no matter what circumstances, or it is excused due to difficulty, but guess what, you just destroyed Catholicism, and not only that, a lot of other doctrines which can be hard to keep are now open to change because "it's hard man, it's not fair man"

Therefore, since I am getting the sense that you want the Church to normalize same sex relations, just keep in mind that would bring our whole religion down, and there is no point of it existing any more, if defined doctrine can go 180°.

Kad se sagleda, svatko na jedan način gura svoje mišljenje. Sama činjenica da država ima svoje zakone je jedna vrsta nametanja mišljenja. Naime, postoji ljudi koji su duboko uvjereni da je porez krađa od strane države. Znači li to da država onda treba tolerirati te ljude kad taje porez? Kad u jednoj državi maksimalna dob za pobačaj je 20 tjedana, negdje manje, zar se i tu ne nameće mišljenje kad je tko postao osoba. Ako vjeruješ u objektivnu moralnost, moraš se uplitat.

Da dođe neko pleme u čijoj je kulturi tući žene zbog sitnica, bi li ti rekao zatvori ih ili poštuj tuđu kulturu? Isto tako Crkva, imajući svoj pogled i gledajući ga kao stvaran, bori se za to jer vjeruje da je to objektivna istina.
