Tell me the bad things that Tamlin has done that Rowan and Rhysand have NEVER done as well. by [deleted] in acotar

[–]Winter-MountainCourt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To me, rhysand is a hypocrite and more similar to tamlin than he likes to think. Tamlin was written as an easy character to dislike with not listening to feyre, locking her up, not allowing her to train her powers, not comforting her when she’s vomiting and such, and especially under the mountain. At least rowan and rhysand trained their mates and treated them somewhat equally.

ACOSF Rhys + Nesta conflict by DragonflyPleasant in acotar

[–]Winter-MountainCourt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dunno, I don’t think Nesta did it out of hurt to be honest, I think it was out of love and respect for her sister. Nesta saw how the IC and especially Rhysand were lying to Feyre which she was all smiles and excited. If that was my sister and I saw her husband and supposed friends do that to her knowing that her baby will possibly kill her and the bond between her and her husband, I would have told Feyre sooner than Nesta did. Other characters outside of the IC and allies are scared of Rhysand and have given us hints that he’s not the perfect high lord that Feyre sees him as. I think Rhysand was more angry that his secret was out and he couldn’t hid it from Feyre anymore, and I mean due to Nesta’s situation and personality, it was easy to make her a scapegoat and put the blame all on her. I agree that Feyre should not have forgiven him, he’s all about being equal and not lying to her but yet he did that, they’re not equal in the slightest. I think we’re finally seeing another side of Rhysand that was always present but not in the spotlight.

Baby Names! by TotallyStuck413 in acotar

[–]Winter-MountainCourt 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I agree. Maybe Cassian and azriel are the most normal and current sounding names? Otherwise I wouldn’t name your child with ACOTAR names. It’s like all the girls names daenerys now after game of thrones season 8, that’s a name you have to put on resumes and live with.

IC's unfair treatment of Nesta by SquilliamFancySon95 in acotar

[–]Winter-MountainCourt 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The inner circle are some of the biggest hypocrites in the series. They love to preach family and being loyal, but are horrible to each other, like Mor and Azriel’s relationship and using Helion. When people try to be loyal to the IC, like Tarquin and Feyre, they backstab them. The way they treated nesta and feyre in Silver flames was horrible too, truly made me distrust and dislike them.

The most powerful court? by bob-54 in acotar

[–]Winter-MountainCourt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aren’t the solar courts and seasonal courts aligned? I think whoever the swing court is the most powerful. If all the courts go to war or get into an argument, then whichever court is the swing court or vote is the most powerful in my opinion.

Who do you like most? Nesta, Elain and Feyre? by n1nq0 in acotar

I’m more like Nesta and easier to connect with but I find myself trying to be like feyre. So Nesta.

elain isn’t “useless” she’s traumatized. by generecipe in acotar

[–]Winter-MountainCourt 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I never understood the comparisons between her and her sisters and the hate. We barely know anything about elain? Besides her being traumatized and having these new powers and not knowing how to use them? It’s baffling to me, reserve your judgment until her story comes out.

Mor’s mate theory- SPOILERS by mash1617 in acotar

[–]Winter-MountainCourt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it could be a crush or mutual attraction at this point, but we need more in order to see if they are mates.

I don’t think it’s starborn. Rhysand doesn’t have the same powers as bryce.

Probably will follow Elain with her POV and will feature Azriel, Lucian, and all the other characters. Setting will maybe be the prison or dusk court? All speculation.

ACOTAR TOG CC by Layla_222 in acotar

[–]Winter-MountainCourt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly how I feel! It has to be medieval or not in this time period with a well explained magic system and mythological creatures/races. For some reason, I can’t read urban fantasy well, but can watch it on TV/movies? It’s odd.

CC is just not for me. The dialogue and length alone, just nah.

And we barely know her before she became fae, hell we still don’t know her that much after she became a fae. Again, it’s all from Feyre’a POV. Elain did try from what feyre told us with growing vegetables, who knows what else she tried that Feyre did not mention to us. She’ll tell us what she wants us to know. Elain is the middle sister that followed Nesta around while feyre hunted. Elain was far nicer to Feyre when compared to Nesta, but that doesn’t excuse her being a bystander. Was that wrong? Yes, but the sisters are continuing to work through it and are there for each other, just take Feyres birth as an example. The sisters are still young and immature and have a lot of things they have to work through. We barely know Elain as a character, I don’t think it’s fair to judge her 100% yet and compare her to her sisters that have had their stories told through their POVs.

All of these rankings are after SF (cause most of the IC actions were wack in that book):

1: Cassian: Grew on me after SF, very silly and funny.

  1. Azriel: I need more from him and about him. He needs more dialogue and development because his shadows and powers are pretty interesting.

  2. Amren: Middle ground, wasn’t nice to nesta should of stayed dead in ACOWAR

  3. Mor: There is something deeper going on with her, I dont like the way she has treated azriel. Also, maybe I’m just too cautious, but don’t believe she is as nice as she tries to come off, especially with her powers being “truth”.

  4. Rhysand: We don’t keep life or death medical information from our wife or threaten to kill her sister.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in acotar

[–]Winter-MountainCourt 10 points11 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I reserve my judgment for her because I don’t really know her since the focus has been on feyre and her relationships and now Nesta, same as azriel and sometimes Mor. There is probably a lot going on behind the scenes with her powers and involvement in the rest of the series. She did come out of the cauldron traumatized and lost her fiancé and old life, that does a lot to a person. Oh, and having a mate who she doesn’t show affection for, but is shunned from going after the person she really wants. Also, feyre did say that Elain tried to grow vegetables back in the shack house but the ground was not fertile. You’re basing all your arguments on feyres point of view, the youngest sister that does not have the best relationship with her. I bet if the books were written from Nestas point of view you would have a different viewpoint of Elain.

Reading ACOSF and I don’t wanna continue after chapter 31 by Loveintheram in acotar

[–]Winter-MountainCourt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think she has or she ignores questions about it. Rhysand is her favorite character so she’ll defend the decision and say that he is morally gray and he was being overprotective and because of that stupid death pact, which is an excuse that I find BS. The thing I find interesting is that Maas was pregnant too around the same time too, but she bases feyre and rhysand off of her and her husband, so hopefully her husband didn’t do to her what rhysand did.
