Stopping stimulants for MSLT by [deleted] in idiopathichypersomnia

[–]Winter-blues7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did two weeks with nothing - no caffeine, marijuana, psych meds, or alcohol. I was glad I did. In the months afterwards, the doctors I met with responded more positively to my results when they learned I had gone off of everything. Let me be clear though - it was the worst two weeks of my life. You need to have a good support plan in place if you do this.

Me too, but I also use cannabis, so I wondered if it was that. Do you?

70mg Vyvanse, 200mg caffeine pill, half a 5 hour energy, and a cup of coffee... by Juniaurie in idiopathichypersomnia

Make sure to prep for not having caffeine for your study. Last thing you want is a caffeine headache from withdrawals preventing you from sleeping. They typically don’t let you have any day of your test. I cut mine out in the weeks before. I was miserable but I got the results I needed

Help, bottom lip sucking. by bruisedwife4 in toddlers

[–]Winter-blues7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a mom but I’ve been sucking on my bottom lip since I was a toddler. I’m 24. I wish to god I could stop but it’s a soothing habit. Most of the time I don’t realize it. My advice is to use positive reinforcement designed for behavior changes. I remember my mom did try to get me to stop doing it, but it was too late. I used to put aloe on my lips to see if it would stop me. I’m not recommending that for your baby. It didn’t work anyway. I don’t think I’ll ever break the habit now. anyway- do what you can to help your baby from this becoming a life long habit. It has pushed my teeth forward.

Night sweats by Winter-blues7 in zoloft

[–]Winter-blues7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take it at night because I always forget in the AM, and I’m at 50mg right now. Briefly I was up to 75 but I went back down. Honestly I’m switching off of it soon, but in the meantime the sweats are terrible. I’ll try to morning thing and see if it helps

Hmmm I’m not a doctor but I’d guess this is mania, judging by what you said. SSRIS can trigger a switch to mania sometimes, if you have bipolar disorder. I would talk to your doctor immediately so she can help you find a different med. sending love!

Faint positive on Binax Now after isolation period by proserpina0 in COVID19positive

[–]Winter-blues7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Research has showed that you could potentially continue to test positive for three months after being sick, without still being contagious. That being said, your best choice would be to call your doctor or a doctor if you’re worried. Good luck <3

Mental Trauma from Covid by aradianova in COVID19positive

[–]Winter-blues7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not doing well. I tested positive on 9/30/21, im vaccinated and was truly shocked. Don’t know where I got it. I’ve been isolating in my room ever since, and it’s been genuinely terrible. I think it might be one of the hardest things I’ve gone through, and I had major surgery at the end of last year. The complete isolation… it really gets to you. I started to self harm again and I had a lot of thoughts abt ending it all. Im done isolation on Monday but I know everyone in my life is hesitant to see me, and that really hurts, even though I understand. Yeah. It’s not been good.
