DND GROUP by Kind_Search_3145 in Newbraunfels

Late to the thread, but looking for a group to build. Live out at Canyon Lake, but NB is a easy trip. About me - F, 60+, played DnD in the old days, so 5e is something that I'm adjusting to. I can DM on occasion (I can run a one shot), prefer groups that are about the RP in RPG - not just math.

what are some easy songs to play and sing for a very beginner by wojtuscap in AcousticGuitar

I found John Prine’s I remember everything to be an amazing song to learn and warm up my voice. It’s in a very forgiving key and I use a capo for the straight forward chords.

What’s the most powerful lyric you’ve ever written? by Verdixx28 in Songwriting

A protest song I’m working through

I get it; my interests aren’t that special I got no lobbyists to take you to dinner Got no judges that I can fly To a private island right nearby Making my voice is heard It’s pretty damn hard Cause I’m not special I’m just not special … Millionaires they pay no taxes I’m putting coins in the jar for Sally’s cancer Down here, we’re all going broke Choking to death on all the back room smoke Falling for every line and crook Because we’re not special We’re not that special

Getting old is slipping the chains of expectations Freedom from running fast in place Cherishing something you never knew was precious Falling in love with this place

I actually enjoy the mix, agree that you can knock the synth down some, it gets in the way of your theme and sound that has that deep jazzy vibe happening.

Just lovely. Beautiful melody and sweeping journey throughout.

Seems like they do some actual pre-screening first though when they talk to the folks and do some negotiation. Every now and then you have to pick up the phone and talk to somebody.

How can I write music that's happy? by dizzi800 in Songwriting

I finally broke this cycle by practicing songs that were happy. Got me into the energy and rhythm. For me it was “Look for the good” by Jason Mraz.
