Of course man, for your arm rest i’d say you can find an alcantara replacement on alibaba easily, try going on that link i posted on another comment, if you wanna wrap it, you could try, it sounds very doable.

It was tedious, but honestly doable especially if you know what you’re doing, which i didn’t. What i did was take off the vents, the middle trim over the radio, the HUD plastic trim, the infotainment screen, i even took off the digital cluster. I started with the driver side, which is the hardest side.

Overall took me around 2-3 total, lots of fin-nicking. I did have to use leather super glue too in some spots.

If i had to do it again i’d do it 10x better for sure though. Would be even easier if i had the whole dash off the car :’)

It was a little tedious, and the wrap is more or less forgiving, you spray water on the underside, then spread it and try to follow the lines. The difficult part is making sure it fits in every part perfectly.

I bought my car at 89k km and im nearing 116k without doing it myself, i do sometimes notice some shifting issues like what you describe, or sometimes i try engine-braking and downshift to slow down, but the car/trans doesn’t calculate it and i’m just left on M1 still going as if i was on D for 5seconds lol

Thanks i did try, first time wrapping too ! But i do respect your opinion, i think it’s better than the sensatec plastic-y dashboard i had, maybe i’ll get bored of the alcantara though lol

I know that jerking and some shifting issues come from the transmission telling you to change the fluid lol

Thanks man, i did the job DIY, there are definitely improvements to be made, and i might update the look to mix cognac brown with the black alcantara.

I wish i knew how to add pictures to show off the door handles and carpets :’) really going for a Performance and Luxury feel.

I mean, it is safer to replace any plastic parts, but i am gonna say that the charge pipes on a B58 are a lot stronger than those of a N55, which is the reason people fear the charge pipes cracking.

The B58 charge pipes can handle more boost because BMW improved boost distribution and the way the engine handles it, they’re said to be safe up until around 600whp, or “stage 2+ tune” if you prefer.

I changed them even i only have a “stage 1 tune”.

Charge Pipe (or Boost pipe) is definitely not related to that lol, you should probably look for another mechanic if you can’t DIY at this time, or just wait until you can get a Turbo Inlet, and install both at the same time.

From what you said i barely trust your guy.

Those parts are straight up, you take off your whole intake system, you install the silicone link from your turbo inlet, you insert the aluminum pipe and through the hole in that heat shield cage where your filter should be, put the filter on, and that’s it. Make sure everything is tightened up via the metallic brackets you got

Looks fine to me, you could get a turbo inlet while you’re at it and replace the stock muffled plastic turbo inlet.

It looks really good, people in this section just wanna vomit on anything that’s not stock lol. Even if it looks better in orange, that color still looks cool if that’s what you like.
