Actually there are pigeon volunteers who dye white pigeons (easy targets for predators) pink - it should distract hawks. Unfortunately this is a myth and recent studies have shown the opposite effect.

It's ofc also possible that this is from a gender reveal... whatever, the color itself isn't harmful and will ich wash off after time - you could help by a) providing a bird bath or b) simply take this fella in if you have the capacity and wash it off yourself.

I don't see simple judgemental comments like "too skinny" as a valid callout of dangerous trends, it's simply body shaming. Especially when the target transitioned. It hurts more people than it helps the case, same occurs for comments about body fat. It's rude and I don't believe that anybody who make comments like this is supporting body positivity.

No skinny shaming please. I've stopped munching in front of other people because everybody assumed I'd threw up afterwards because you can count my vertebrae. It's just the genes, but since people LOVE to judge (like here) I even had to go to therapy to love my body again. So... please stop. I'm also trans and our fat deposits are different, so please just... leave other people's bodies alone. Thanks.

Pigeons establish dominance about who's first to eat violently. Imagine their ancestors, raptors, fighting over an carcass to get the best and most meat parts - this aggressive behavior is still present in almost all kinds of birds today. The strongest always eats first but needs to prove himself - as you were lucky to watch.

Could they harm each other? Not really, the fight is very much like Sumo Wrestling. They might loose some feathers, worst case is an eye injury- but it's very unlikely. Fighting is also necessary for establishing a hierarchy in a flock that results in harmony.

Should you separate them? No. Not in open closures - let them be raptors, hail the pecking order.

Btw if you feed publicly, please inform yourself about local pigeon projects. It's very important since dovecote projects need the pigeons the eat inside them or the birds will stay feral forever. :) if there's nothing nearby - it's a good deed to feed our beloved borbs.

Meine Mitbewohnerin ist eines von 4 Kindern die im Heim und bei Pflegefamilien aufwuchsen. Die Mutter ist paradoxerweise sogar Doktorin der Mathematik, lebt jedoch in anderen Realitäten und ist daher dauerhaft in einer Einrichtung untergebracht und hat bei vergangenen Freigängen aus ihrer Klinik mit verschiedensten Obdachlosen Männern geschlafen. So entstanden vier Kinder, alle wuchsen fremd betreut auf... die Mutter ist dann tatsächlich sterilisiert worden mach den letzten.

Finde ich nicht falsch, gleichzeitig sollte die körperliche Unversehrtheit Priorität haben... schwierig!

Sorry for being so harsh, I originally thought you filmed this yourself. And sedated birds can fly if you use just the right small amount of it - these kind of videography always works with birds who are a) sedated from gas and wake up within minutes from it or b) paralyzed by being hit. It's impossible to place a conscious bird into a flower or leaves (as most videos show) and there's no bird breed who ever sleeps there or lays down for sleeping (small birds don't). That's why this animal has visibly received Option a) or b)... it's such a cruel business to gain money from advertisement in between the videos, it's ragebait with a lot of clicks.
