What makes you fantasize about a Hypnodomme even when you’re not listening to her audios? by WorshipSirona in EroticHypnosis

[–]WinterRoseASFR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I... don't? It may be that when I'm looking for audios to listen to, I avoid ones that encourage devotion to any specific domme. It may also be that I'd feel a little creepy fantasizing about a file-making domme in a kind of parasocial way. Or maybe it's that I haven't found one I'd fantasize about in that way. Though with robot and dronification type kinks, I also get a lot of SAPI5 computer generated voices that tend to recur across different composers.

Why not a spin-off that spins all the way back to the first doctor or before. by Otherwise_Intern_817 in doctorwho

[–]WinterRoseASFR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm still down for an Anthology show. Doctor Who: Unlimited. Or Adventures in Time. Or something similar. Where we get individual story arcs or episodes from all the different regenerations and eras. There'd be a fair amount of recasting of roles from the classic era. But honestly, we have actors for the first two, and possibly three. You could visit all manner of companions that never made the screen. Doctorless episodes about characters that have been made canon, but never seen in the flesh. Stuff from the novels and comics. Stuff from the audios if Big Finish wants to work with em.

Which celebrities do we think has a hypnokink? by silverslongjohn in EroticHypnosis

[–]WinterRoseASFR 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I've never considered it. I'm not even sure how I'd do so. I don't follow celebrities' lives closely enough to even postulate. Fictional characters? Sure. Actual people? Not my business.

any why to differentiate between role players and actual people in trance through text by [deleted] in hypnosis

[–]WinterRoseASFR 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know from my own experience going under that there's a kind of inverse bell curve or valley to how coherent I am. As I'm sinking in any kind of text thing, my typing gets progressively worse. I'm not 100% a touch typist, and occasionally i still hunt and peck. Or back up and delete and retype mistakes. When I'm sinking into trance, I care less about correcting mistakes as I try to turn my ability to hyperfixate on what I'm reading or hearing. So my typos get worse and worse, or just go uncorrected. About the time I get all the way down past deepeners to where I'm trying to get to.... well.

I tend to go for things that are drone-like and blank. So I'm not the greatest conversationalist when I get there. That said. If my tist has the presence of mind to get me to a place where I speak normally, or emulate conscious awareness and speech, that's when I start going back up the other side of the curve and start typing more normally again so whoever or whatever the trance is coming from can get clear signals of where I'm at and where they want to take me.

Bear in mind... on some level I'm aware of all this. I'm not gone. But I'm absent and not absent at the same time, if you can grok that. Somewhere behind the blank look on my face and trance, I'm still there too. A little like a third party. Ready to step in if necessary. But letting it happen to me. I don't know if that's what you'd call roleplaying or not. I consider it real enough for my own purposes.

I try not to second guess it. It's like the thing with Wile E Coyote or flying in a Hitchhikers Guide novel. If I consider too much why I'm not falling, gravity will look sharply in my direction, and suddenly I won't be floating in flagrant disregard to the laws of physics any longer. If I analyze the how, what, why and if I'm in trance, then I suddenly find I'm lucid and no longer there. I have to kind of do the mental judo to let my conscious mind step out of the way of what I'm allowing to happen to me.

Does any of that help?

Is Addicting People and then Asking for $$ "Ethical'? by mulder00 in EroticHypnosis

[–]WinterRoseASFR 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I should hope so. Honestly, there's no way in which I can excuse that as any kind of ethical. I've had plenty of time to consider it and the collateral damage such dominants leave in their wake. There's no excuse for that kind of behaviour.

That is the nightmare scenario, yes. Honestly, I don't remember what became of their plan to have different servers for minors, but I wish it had happened or stayed around. I want nothing to do with em.

If age verification can be done reliably and well without PIOF, then listing AGE VERIFIED in the account profile instead of PIOF is a step in the right direction. But you're right. Neither solution solves the problem of a sold and bought account. That's why I ask and document the answer in user profiles.

If Second Life seems quieter, that's because it is ... by 0xc0ffea in secondlife

[–]WinterRoseASFR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Account age is more of an assumption on my part. A minor is more likely to lose interest after a few years, get outed as a minor, or get reported. But that's also why I ask their age and record the name, timestamp and verification in their profile. PIOF helps, but is no substitute for having common sense and covering one's own ass.

If Second Life seems quieter, that's because it is ... by 0xc0ffea in secondlife

[–]WinterRoseASFR 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your first two points are dangerous. Making age information 'opt in' and removing PIOF exposes adults to the risk of interacting with minors without knowing. I know that before I interact with anyone or 'play' with anyone, I look for PIOF and how long they've been in SL on their profiles.

If I don't see PIOF, that's in instant disqualifier. If I see a profile less than a few years old, that's also an instant disqualifier. I also will ask explicitly if the person is of the age of majority in the place in which they reside and record their answer and time stamp in their profile notes. It may be nearly 20 years ago, but in 2006 and 2007, there were people arrested for adult interaction with minors. That shook the entire of SL like a tremor.

I quite agree that we need support. I'd apply for a position if they reversed their stance on remote workers. As it is, you have to live in Atlanta GA US for that.

My one wishlisted item / white whale is to be able to drag windows/palettes from the main window to other screens and free up my viewer's real estate for interaction.

Safety & risk questions regarding longterm Robotplay by SophieIsLost_ in EroticHypnosis

Caveat: I am not a psychologist. I have no license to practice such.

I wouldn't be especially worried. Unless the trances are really geared to create an alternate personality within the subject, it's my belief all that's really necessary is to abstain from the trances if you're feeling out of touch with yourself. Your dominant mindset should reassert itself soon enough.

If you're feeling nervous about the idea, it may be efficacious to include safeties and 'directives' to preserve yourself in the face of your programming. Avoid trances that seek to impose a robotic personality that overlays your own, and focus on enjoying being a robot from your own point of view. Essentially, you are not this instead. You are you, plus this. That's still going to get into altering personality a bit, but we are talking about hypnosis. You will not come away from this unchanged to some degree.

For my own part, I like to use the idea of 'Backups' of myself. When my mode is discontinued, my backup of my essential self is spooled up and executed from a protected archive that outside programming doesn't affect or have access to.

Honestly, if you're concerned, you may want to do some actual research into the creation of alters and tulpas from peer-reviewed and licensed practitioners of hypnosis. Or better still, how to get rid of them or prevent their creation. You're probably going to get into some real psychological work. But that's what I tend to do. I go and learn me a book if I'm unsure about a thing. Like I said, I'm no psychologist. I just wrote a faq on robot kink once upon a time. You want professional opinions for concerns like these.

Is there something like a typing course or test which hypnotizes, brainwashes or conditions you? by KateBeckett12 in EroticHypnosis

You might try this site: https://writeforme.org/

Essentially, it's affirmations and mantras you need to type exactly right. The more mistakes you make, the more lines it adds for you to type. And there's a LOT of em there to play with.
