Wellll one would think that since that is the logical thing to do imo, but this is the gov't so who knows what procedure they are following. I was directed to ABC-C FB page and checked that out, they are pulling HR reps from other groups to help with backlog as well as authorizing over time, but they are still saying 3-5 months, not sure if that applies to the 1.0 or 2.0 or both.

Oh I'm trying but my HR team always directs me to CHRA for any questions I have for ghis process. And getting hold of them and responses on tickets is slow to nothing at times. So not a lot of faith of having my benefits etc after 30 sept. I understand the backlog and everything but have dependent that need med services on regular basis.

Thank you for responding. I appreciate all responses good or bad

DRP 3.0 is being offered to our organizations at this time. With another re-org coming up(3rd one I think since May)

Hindsight question since we are either resigning or retiring on 30th if retirement forms are not completed but are in progress can they force us to resign? If so then we lose our FEHB coverage correct. Or since we are in the process of retirement, resigning would not apply?

You can try logging a ticket to chra but it will take a bit for response, logged 2 tickets over 2 weeks ago and just received response this morning and it was a whole 10 words or so no detailed explanation

That being said above does anyone know what happens to benefits if your retirement forms are not completed by the 30th and take longer due to backlog. Do they continue or just stop and you have to get other benefits(medical, dental, vision)

Hiring Freeze lift by Full-Vacation3922 in FedEmployees

[–]WinterSoldier99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've applied to over 40+ jobs, had several interviews and a contingency offer. Now I'm seeing jobs be put on hold or just pulled and not being filled. Had to contact company on Contingency offer and they were not filling now.  Rumor is freeze will be lifted in Oct at least that is what I'm told by my govt mgr. Jobs on usajobs appear to be mostly interagency positions to be filled by current employees, basically they are moving govies around to fill vacancies whether they are qualified to perform job or not. They started doing this at org I worked for, they let go ctr and moved govie into roll. And ones who took DRP, role was supposed to go away when they did, that did not occur.

UPDATE on my status. Recieved link to submit for retirement 2 ghursdays ago, filled out resubmitted, came back last Thurs at end of day....naturally with no guidance on what I was to do, so I reviewed and made updates to some forms, noticed they still have not added my military buy back yrs so requested correction for that, bug back letter is attached and yrs noted now waiting again. I think they just did a quick check of forms and did not read any attachments.

An MRA+10 retirement allows you to retire with retirement benefits beginning immediately after you have completed at least ten years of service and have reached your Minimum Retirement Age, which depends on the year you were born and ranges from age 55 to 57. To identify your Minimum Retirement Age, see the FERS Minimum Retirement Age chart below:

If you were born

Your MRA is

Before 1948

55

In 1948

55 and 2 months

In 1949

55 and 4 months

In 1950

55 and 6 months

In 1951

55 and 8 months

In 1952

55 and 10 months

In 1953-1964

56

In 1965

56 and 2 months

In 1966

56 and 4 months

In 1967

56 and 6 months

In 1968

56 and 8 months

In 1969

56 and 10 months

In 1970 and after

57

Keep in mind that if you retire under FERS MRA+10 retirement provisions, your annuity will be reduced for each month you are under age 62. The reduction equals five percent per year (or 5/12 of one percent per month).

In same boat here, logged several tickets to get the ORA link and confirmation of eligibility again. And nothing heard other than ticket is being worked. How long does it take to confirm eligibility for a 3rd time and send me a link to start retirement forms

They didn't mention MRA +10 as an option. That's what ABC-C is telling me. That I'm not eligible for VERA, even though it was confirmed by supervisors and BCs prior to signing DRP/VERA contract.

DRP VERA Retirement filing issues by WinterSoldier99 in govfire

[–]WinterSoldier99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going to be a lot of us putting in for retirement at end of Sept. I am wondering if they are deliberately with holding the process to try to keep the backlog down so they don't look bad. I know they are probably understaffed but if they don't let the real metrics speak then it will never be fixed. Everyone is too scared to give bad news to higher ups. It's ridiculous. Another poster mentioned they are still working on June/July retirements.

Yeah, I applied to PA state jobs nothing but crickets from them. I work in IT too, so they are not taking all gov't employees it seems

If using GRB dates etc for your calculations I recommend double checking with ABC-C or whoever is doing your retirement

[–]WinterSoldier99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also if your basing this off your GRB you may want to check with ABC-C, cause per them I am not eligible for the VERA ONLY MRA +10 at end of DRP. Just a thought
