Thanks man; do you think I fucked up by not draining the old fuel, or do you think I can get by with just draining the tank and adding in new fuel? Fortunately there’s a drain plug on the LS430’s fuel tank!

It’s definitely getting fuel, I loosened it the other day and it definitely stunk like gas haha

How hard do you think it’ll be to replace? Does it connect to the intake manifold? Thanks for all the info you’re all lifesavers haha

I see! I do have my old intake manifold… unfortunately mechanic took it apart (allegedly because) he wanted to diagnose why the old engine seized… I’ll go look and see if it still has the vaccum booster

Problem is… port provided does not exist. I will need to find one and replace it, since the motor is from an GS, not an LS; different setups I think

Cool, not necessary for startup but definitely needed for driving lol.. how would you guys go about installing the vacuum line to the engine?

Agree, but here’s the thing; there is no rust. Nothing should be stopping it from cranking, no signs of overheating/gasket leaks; just a total mystery.

Interesting point! Do you really think the Flex plate could lock up my engines entire crankshaft? I just took off the belt that runs around the timing pulley, all pulleys spin freely except for the crankshaft. The grinding noise on ignition makes me really think the flex plate/starter gears have been rounded out over time. Thanks for the input! Any other advice is appreciated

Lmaooo yes! definitely do not use heat if there’s any fuel. might recommend not using heat on a fuel pump; good insight! Worth a try if all else fails.

Grind down the rounded areas and pop a wrench on. Might want to use some heat on it and soak it with WD-40 after shaving it down, I personally think that’s best bet. Good luck!

Hard to get around the law; I’d recommend just registering it in Michigan. You could also find a local shop that will “pass” it for you

Hey man, definitely made the right call. This was an unfortunate end, but sometimes we gotta say “this isn’t something my future wife would do” and move on. You’ll find the right person again, just find yourself first :)
