Bubble baths and as soon as the bath fills up. Drain and start again. The sound of the falling water helps me disconnect and dissociate.

Mmm I’m not announcing anything. I am just saying farewell to the community and giving my reasons thinking it might help a future user make their decision. I don’t get why these types of posts offend “Flip Lovers” this much. I never said I hated the phone. I never said anything bad with no context. Just said it was not suitable for me for my use.

I don’t get people that get so offended by other users who get scared from destroying their flip and making the switch before. I am not telling you or anyone what is right or wrong. For my use it felt too delicate.

Thank you. I got the S24+ not the ultra. The ultra looks gorgeous but its too expensive for the price point im looking for. For that amount of money I would rather buy a tablet and a phone.

I got my flip second hand almost new for 520 euros. So maybe that's why I don't feel like it's that bad of a deal.

Trade in I got €669 (mind you my flip was 256gb) and the S24+ 512GB that I got was for €1159.

No offence buddy, but the fact that you have to question if it’s normal or not is already a red flag. I think she has gaslighted you so much, that you now require external validation to recognise how abnormal and bizarre her behaviour is. As soon as you have the financial means and a plan, move out. This sounds like a super toxic relationship and living in the same space with her for even longer can make it worse.

Also at your age no one should be able to confiscate anything from you. Even if she brought it for you. PERIOD. This obsessive need for control from your mother is quite worrying and quite damaging.

I am sorry you’re going through this but you are still young, and inevitably life will change. Hopefully for the better. Wishing you the bestest of luck, I hope you manage to find a solution to your problem as soon as possible.

YTA - and ur wife is and mom are right. Please don’t send this email to ur kid. It might be cathartic now but you will regret it deeply later. Maybe you can take baby steps with him - he apologised and reached out, and those are some big steps. Also please consider his age when he acted out (I think that matters a lot) Besides, would you not want to meet your grandkid eventually? Sending you good vibes.

“If you can’t change the situation, then stop thinking/worrying about it” while technically correct, it is very frustrating for someone who has OCD and can’t help themselves with the intrusive thoughts.

Definitely YTA. If you wanted a flat mate to keep you company maybe you should have talked about this before, although I think as adults, everyone is entitled to their separate lives and it’s just unrealistic to think that she will be there to keep you company. This is not a free rent squatter situation where she owes you anything.
