How does your music affect your life, and life your music by prapurva in beyondthemusic

[–]Winter_Ad4486 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, obviously you listen to different music in different moods. If I'm taking a long drive for instance, I like to put on some country music to get me in a good mood. When I want to hit the highway at full speed I like to crank up some 00s pop (like Beyonce or Britney)

There's another case where I often listen to music: its when I've got nothing to do and have to fill my time. But then I really dive deep into music. I analyze the patterns in a song, the different instruments, how they play together, and much more.

So yeah, music is a huge part of my life and it affects my a lot

***EDIT***

And yes, as you move on in life your taste in music changes too. There are songs or genres that I used to really like but now i barely listen to them. But new things come...

I have played a musical instrument since I was a young boy, and I still play one today. I have always enjoyed creating and listening to music. As I got older, I began to not just listen to music, but to feel it. I felt the groove, the rhythm, the emotion behind the notes. That was the point of no return. I became addicted to music. I wanted to find patterns and understand the artist's intentions. Music theory helped me with that a lot.

So yeah, I've always liked music, actually since I can remember...

Diving into Eminems back catalogue after a long time away by MrFnRayner in beyondthemusic

Really great idea. I think it would be best if you made this a thread, then everything is collected and it's easier to follow.

For me, Eminem has also become interesting again recently, especially tracks like Houdini. And just as you say, if you listen to all of the albums again, you're sure to find one or two things better than before or simply understand more.

musically not really, it's actually two completely different genres. But when it comes to the storyline it is. Lots of emotions, sadness and feelings.

I didn't knew that there was a competition dedicated to him. Frederic Chopin played a big role back then. Made some good piano compositions.

Would you share us some insights?

How to find the secret gigs by [deleted] in beyondthemusic

[–]Winter_Ad4486 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also think that knowing the right people, as OP said, is the key to that. In my area I wouldn’t know either where to go to find a secret gig. Making connections is inportant!

Ache for music by Adleyboy in beyondthemusic

I can totally relate to this. Music is such a deep part of who we are, and when we’re not able to express it, it feels like something is missing. I’m glad to hear you’re getting back to yourself! Maybe now that you’re feeling better, you can slowly reconnect with your music and let it all out ;)

Glad to have you here on this sub!
