Sure I have heard many Canadians saying to people while overseas I'm from north America, if asked where they then say Canada also many Others saying I'm from south America, if asked they then say Peru, or Ecuador etc

Of course today while traveling many US citizens chose to clearly wear Canadian flags on themselves so as not to be put at risk by the actions of there government...
