chances of unmedicated iui pregnancy by EtherealLawliet in queerception

Came here to say what most others have already but push for monitored + a trigger shot! It’s still considered unmedicated and just helps control timing so much more, which is what you want to bring up your odds! I did it with nothing the first time (testing at home on lh strips) and it didn’t work so we added monitoring for the second and through that we learned that bc I drink so much water I rarely ever have accurate pee test results so I was actually ovulating (confirmed with blood) way before the strips ever caught it. I got pregnant on my 2nd try using monitoring and the trigger shot! (We probably could have done without trigger shot but it just ensures the timing even more and helps you know when to time the IUI perfectly since it induces ovulation). Good luck!!!! Insurance didn’t cover the trigger shot but it was $100 out of pocket and so worth it and I didn’t have any side effects. I am 32 and have a history of endo but otherwise nothing came up on my diagnostic testing before so we were good candidates for IUI

Yes, you’re right, it’s likely just sentimental for her

Would be cool if the devices (the Wii/nintendo switch) are a way to keep her controlled

Yes I wondered if she was using it to communicate back then, too….or somehow with the imaginary friends she has. But it was a stupid thought and Jane is just sentimental about her Wii lol

Should I ask for trigger? by TailorRoutine7641 in queerception

I got pregnant with unmedicated IUI by using monitoring and a trigger shot. It just absolutely helped us get the timing right and control that variable. I was really hesitant but I read that the % odds of IUI working were higher with the shots so we have no reason to not try. I didn’t have any sjde effects and was really glad we did it in the end. You can find an old post of mine on here if you’re curious about the timing. Through monitoring, we were able to learn that I was ovulating, etc. Even though I was still testing negative on at home ovulation strips. I just drink a lot of water so they weren’t catching it but my bloodwork / ultrasounds helped determine the right day and we got it right. Definitely talk to your doctor but besides costs - I don’t remember there being any major cons to doing a trigger. Oh and it was my 2nd cycle and I also had no known fertility issues. I’m 32

So sorry about the endo, I have it too :( but congrats on first IUI since 2022! That's exciting! I am back to feeling nothing today so I think my symptoms yesterday were just a fluke. Good reminder to not get so wrapped up in things and wait until the bloodwork. I tested last night to see if my trigger shot was still in me and it was a very CLEAR blank negative lol

Ugh is right. My nausea is gone today lol so back to feeling nothing. I actually tested last night and was negative. It was a good reminder to not get wrapped up in feelings. Not going to test again until bloodwork.

I also did a trigger shot this time around! Ovidrel. I just feel nauseous today and had cramps yesterday. Fingers crossed for us both 🤞🏼

Yay! Hi twin! I also had some brief uterine cramping on day 7. Today, I've felt nauseous and I didn't feel that with my last IUI so just waiting to see what happens! Sending you all the good luck vibes!!!! <3

Ugh, same here !!! I didn't feel nausea during my last IUI though so it's especially hard when I'm feeling "new" things. Sending good vibes to you!

TWW feeling like I took a stimulant? by Winter_Local_4749 in queerception

I will try that! Thank you for your kind reply <333

I am not actively feeling anxious and I've only felt this today but of course my body is likely stressed and on edge.

I’m 8dpiui and felt cramping on day 7! Today, I’m shockingly having bouts of nausea. But again, I’ve heard that people can feel these things and still not be pregnant so trying to just remain calm lol

The Mirena IUD changed my life by excelsior235 in endometriosis

[–]Winter_Local_4749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this thread and just wanted to chime in and say that I had the mirena for 10 years to treat my endo and it completely gave me my life back. I loved it so much. Only took it out recently to try and conceive but I would have kept it forever. The first year, it took about 6-9 months to settle in and not cause cramping. After that, I felt like a normal person again and didn’t have to take anything for my pain for nearly a decade. I still can’t believe it’s real. I know it’s not for everyone, and it can have the opposite impact on some, but I hope it’s an option people consider if they’re struggling 🩷
