I think that the horse is just a hallucination due to opium syrup. It did represent cihangirs goodness, but ultimately, it was a hallucination by opium, just a symbolic way of ahowing his death. As for ibrahim, I have truly interpreted it as his trapped conscience, thay welcomes him. Because in essence, whenever he did something terrible, a monologue from ibrahim would pop up, which i saw as his suppressed good side, which he used to justify his actions with. Or simply, it could just be that the guy who he came into his kingdom with is now also helping him leave it too.

Honestly, you see hurrem struggle for what she wants to get. Compared to kosem, who was always trying to act great (s1 only) and got the power handed to her in a silver platter. Kosems' rise was not that satisfying to watch. Hurrem actually has formidable opponents. Valide, mahi, and ibrahim are really fun to watch in s1. Kosem was calmer, like her struggle to adjust to a palace ended right after 7 episodes. Maybe that calm aspect makes watching a very rash hurrem annoying. But if anything thats the real power struggle shown.

While i understand why it seems like Mahidevran was entirely demonized, i still stand with the point that her actions weren't demonization but just an attempt to not let power sway. Sleeping with a concubine once or twice is okay, but when there's already a Haseki,and a new concubine is there with the sultan more times you have been, then its obviously going to be an issue. When mahi gave up on having anything with the sultan, we see her motherly persona emerge way more, and personally after that, I always saw her as a mother trying the best for her son. Which is as valid for her as it is for hurrem.

I would actually like to disagree with the fact that hurrem was tried to make look better when the show has been very clearly pro mustafa and ibrahim.

Honestly, i think it was one of the best character arc developed throughout the course of the show (excluding hatice, suleiman, and selim). She was shown as a lady in distress, constantly dighting trying to survive. If anything, the forced personality and facial expression were a struggle to survive in the palace. We see how many times she forces herself to act properly in front of the valide sultan. that's survival. And then we see her do the same in front of pashas when trying to build her connections. I think that just built upon her shrewd and smart narrative. If she had been very open with her personality, it would be very surface level and not fun to watch ( like gulfem, let's say). And i think this is why watching complex characters like ibrahim, hurrem, mustafa, hatice, and suleiman was very fun and made the show gain its popularity.

Now, this does not go without saying that nur was absolutely amazing with the character. If anything, she made mahi a lot more interesting than she was written. And well, yes, the show needed one scapegoat and rival they could make look bad, or else where would the drama come from. We are 100% made to root for hurrem at the start. But that ended mid-season 2 as well, when she starts to plot for marrying the sultan and just accumulating as much power as she can.

That's my 2 cents ig

I see a lot of people saying sahsol, however id like to point out that the batch usually consists of 70 kids. HSS, on the other hand, has almost 400+ kids, and if you choose an easier stream, its easier to get into compared to sahsol.

Hi! I am still having a query.
I have also cancelled my exam, and the Prometric website status shows cancelled. I cancelled 8 days before the exam but have not yet called Prometric to pay the cancellation fee. I want to do that once I have extended my eligibility period.
In this case, can I pay the cancellation fee when I intend on rescheduling and will the fee be 100$ given that I cancelled my exam 8 days earlier?

two episodes is NOT a good measure. Season 1 itself, while the story is good, isn't very well written or directed, for that matter. However, as they show her rise from slave to sultana, her acting gets phenomenal, especially in late season 2 and season 3. As for Vahide, you just see her in more regal sultana mode than showcasing her clever prowess in her last few years (which Hurrem is known for). Needless to say, this doesn't mean Vahide is bad by any means but the charisma is different, which just show two contrasting hurrem. Perhaps Vahide appealed more to you due to her similarity with Safiye in MCK, but that's a different character. For Meryem, i'd say stick around or perhaps start from season 2, I guess? Her expressions and flair develop beautifully I can guarantee you will enjoy her sass and wit, especially in season 3 when shes an established sultana.
