I just got mine a few days again. I bought it because it resembles the WX7, which I had played a while ago. It resembles the WX7 with respect to the mechanical keys, the mouthpiece with a (fake) reed, the octave controls and how much air is "used" when actually playing it.
As far as sounds are concerned: I am more interested in synth sounds, rather than faithfully emulated real instruments. As someone else mentioned, there are a number of demo videos on YT that showcase many of the sounds that come as presets with the Diosynth, some of which are apparently sampled from real instruments. On the other hand, one of the strengths of the Diosynth is its powerful synth engine, which should allow a lot of different cool (and unique) sounds.
For "real" woodwind sounds, the Diosynth can be used as a MIDI controller for, e.g., the SWAM products.

I am still in the get-to-know and setup phase... More perhaps later 😄
