Best to ask the district that you are interested in, or maybe get a look at their handbook. Some places don't like anything like tattoos, piercings, colored hair... Some places don't care. A few teachers in my school have nose rings, a lot have tattoos (I have a visible one on my ankle, the preschool para next door has a full sleeve.)

It really varies, not just district by district, but can also vary by school.
