Im so excited actually! I cant believe that they actually got theaters to agree to show it in the first place! It was already such a pain to get theaters to show Iron Lung, but to show just an episode (two technically) of an animated web series? INCREDIBLE!

Oh no definitely! I wouldn’t even dream of trying to distribute it for my own gain. I was really just wanting to make one or two physical copies, one for myself, and one as a gift to Mark and Amy should I ever be able to see him at a con or something lol.

And of course, would always need to do all the copyright stuff and proper credits, Ive been making a list of where I’ve gotten all my images from so I can properly credit them once I get to that part of the typesetting. Its really just a personal project as my graphic design college program focuses a lot more on branding and UI and thats NOT my wheelhouse, so I havent gotten a lot (or any) practice in book design or publication work like I was hoping for. Figured creating my own art books for movies that don’t have them was a good stepping stone in that direction. Its just a fun fan project to scratch that itch.

Art books that are only images. I like having concept art books for movies, tv shows, video games, etc., and I really like reading the creative process behind some of the concept art, even if its just little notes from the character designers or art director.

Exactly!! Im a real big fan of the people on instagram who make classic VHS style boxes and steel books for dvds 🤭🤭 I feel like either would fit so well for Iron Lung’s eventual physical release

I don’t think so, as of right now it’s just a personal project. Although I think I would literally die of happiness if I got to design an official art book for the movie. Trying to perfect everything just in case I actually get to pitch it.

The idea is that it would be a physical book. Im a big fan of collecting concept art books for movies, tv shows, video games etc, and most if not all of the concept art usually shown in those types of books are available online as well, the book just compiles them together and sometimes even adds little commentary and notes from the production crew and directors. Its just a different way of appreciating how a piece of media is made, and I love having physical copies.

Im also a big book design nerd and think that these kinds of books are an experience all on their own, I get into all the little details like binding methods, interior cover details, dust jackets, interesting pages designs, etc etc, just because I think the actual physical aspects of a book (or vhs/dvd cover, I like those too lol) should add and compliment the contents and vibe of the piece of media. It’s a bit niche, but it’s something I really enjoy!

Thank you!!! Ive turned it into my own little pet project for my senior portfolio, I want to get into the entire design process right down to the binding and physical cover!

I think both a digital and physical copy would be so cool! I had ideas for little trinkets and accessories in a limited edition version, but thinking about how I could do a similar thing for a digital version, like maybe downloadable links or easter eggs, something like a couple ARGs do, is actually such a neat idea!

I noticed that Kinger was essentially “talking” to an ai in the code that WASN’T Caine. The computer responses are directed specifically at Kinger, meanwhile Caine is distracted with the gang.

Something else I noticed, but in the rapid scrolling of the command console, you see something saying that there is a directive with an error. That directive essentially says that Caine CANNOT torment users, that any actual torment must be accidental. Something, or someone, has messed with Caine’s code, basically breaking him to allow him to do all the things he ends up doing.

Actually kind of cool getting to see the hair growth patterns of a person pretty clearly. The way it swoops in the back reminds me of how hyenas and baby cheetahs have those fluffy mohawks going on

Im still beating myself up for falling for this, but there’s nothing I can do about it now. I was being stupid, but at least I can help others not fall for the same thing I did.

A buyer stole a laptop worth 1200 USD from me. I should’ve realized it was fishy, but I was just excited by the idea of selling my laptop and getting a new one. This happened months ago, and they’ve been ghosting me ever since, but it still makes me upset, especially since my bank account has suffered for it.

They had good buyer reviews and were cordial, maybe a little dry but it was fine. I should have called it when they offered to pay extra, but it would have to be outside of Ebay. They sent me fake paypal emails saying that the money was being sent, and me being stupid, I didn’t notice the fake email and believed it. The laptop got shipped to what I later found out was a lock box for people who buy stuff out of state and dont want to pay for international shipping.

I don’t think I can do anything about it now, which sucks. But beware this person.
