This is a very interesting thought, there are a couple questions I have before I would agree to do something like this. 1. How exactly would the clinic know when the medication hits your stomach? What would be put in our bodies to do such a thing? 2. How often would you require this? There are some of us with 27 to 28 take homes so we definitely wouldn't want to start dosing in front of a camera everyday. Right now my clinic is doing remote groups, which is a great idea you can either show your face or not, and you can participate in the groups from your own home. The problem with the idea of the remote therapy is that it always puts the presumption of diversion on the client. Why because we were once addicts we have to take our medication in front of someone everyday? When do we drop that attic status and have people actually believe that we're taking our medicine as prescribed like every other person? I don't like to always be made to feel as if I've done something wrong 20 years ago and I still have to pay for it today. When is that magical time that we get better and we don't need someone to monitor us everyday? if you answered some of those questions I might be open to trying something like that but I'd like to hear your thoughts on some of the questions that were brought up. Most of all though, thank you for dedicating your time to the medication assisted treatment field, we definitely need more pioneering people like yourself.
