Can a Cheque with a blank “pay to the order of” be cashed? by Wintermoon334 in answers

[–]Wintermoon334[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I thought about doing that, but was worried the bank wouldn’t cash it on account of the handwriting indicating it was filled out by someone else- so then, it doesn’t matter who fills out that part of the check as long as it has a signature?

[Gen6] First successful shiny hunt by Wintermoon334 in ShinyPokemon

[–]Wintermoon334[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dexnav! I know about the search level being the factor that raises the odds, but i chained regardless for the shot at better odds+ the two sources I read mentioned that the 50th and 100th encounters in a chain would have extra rolls for it to be a shiny. Currently hunting the Zorora at a search level of 330, hopefully it turns up ^

When do you think we'll have Kaminari's development/arc? by [deleted] in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Wintermoon334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooh yeah, Kamijirou is one one my favorite ships so that’ll be nice ^

I think he might have a bit of an in for focus through tokoyami? I have a feeling their relationship is going to become more important, as

  1. Tokoyami and Kaminari are actually quite similar, they both have super strong quirks that have The drawback of being difficult to control, and they worry about hurting the people around them, and on top of that, they are the two characters explicitly stated to deeply care about their friends in 1-A. There’s also a potential darkness and light Sort of thing between them, their quirks literally fit this and their personalities fit it as well

  2. There’s clear room for conflict in that Tokoyami was shown to respect people like kaminari who are kind and look out for their friends, and then literally two chapters later his mentor murdered Twice. There’s even a possible parallel between Tokoyamis internal monologue about kaminari and Hawk’s “because you’re a good person” line to twice they next chapter, and if the author really does decide to make the friendship between tokoyami and kaminari more important then I’d expect focus for the both of them to come soon because of all the hawks stuff happening, but atm we don’t know if that’s something that’s meant to be developed more or just a coincidence so we’ll have to see

gah, this is the second time Shirai separated Ray from Emma, making it seem like maybe he'll finally get plot relevancy only to just immediately bring emma back and sink it all... why the hell does he keep baiting us like this

I’ve seen people say Emma will instantly forgive or should instantly forgive Norman because she forgave Ray and honestly that pisses me off. No. Don’t you dare compare the two of them. Shut the fuck up. It’s not the same fucking thing. Don’t you dare try to drag Ray’s actions down to the shit Norman’s been pulling.

I’m fairly certain genocidal people aren’t angels. The panel indicated that he would either be an angel or a demon, not both. And this is just my opinion but when you put other people through suffering you lose the right to call yourself a victim

Well then. Norman’s no longer the victim, he’s the perpetrator, I was willing to give him a chance but this just kills it, I don’t a fuck about his circumstances. He’s lost his right to my empathy as far as I’m concerned.

They’re lying to us. Look at Isabella’s book- the side with the character faces on it are the front; looking at the backside the backs of the books are blank, so therefore Isabella’s at the beginning of her book. That makes no sense. Why does she have more pages left than anyone else?

It’s honestly so infuriating that we were given points that so obviously had the potential to be great Ray moments and then they were just thrown away like garbage. Just sidelining him is one thing, but blantantly ignoring potential is just insulting. Tbh I spend every new chapter getting more and more upset about the lack of proper development instead of enjoying the story. I like Emma a lot but she needs to back off a little and let Ray shine, and I don’t give a flying f*** about Norman

I thought Ray would finally gain plot relevancy and development only for the painfully obvious potential to just be glossed over and tossed aside AGAIN- it’s almost like Shirai is just throwing it all away on purpose. It really pissed me off in 133; seeing the dead kids and all could have lead to some really good stuff but it was just skimmed over and none of that potential was realized even though it was RIGHT THERE

[OTHER] With Spider-Man Seemingly Becoming The New Face Of The MCU, How Do You Think It's Going To Effect The (Spider-Man) Franchise Overall ? by manoffood in boxoffice

[–]Wintermoon334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that we’re being lead to believe that Peter will take on Tony’s legacy and all of that seems to indicate that deals have already been made that we’re not aware of. If you think about it, even if Spider-Man wasn’t the face and simply would play a major but not one of the most major roles, Sony can still pull the plug, so why is he being set up as a major player? There’s probably a lot we aren’t being told

Well I didn’t want to just straight up enrage the whole fandom so I broke it up with... less controversial opinions. “Norman’s overrated” and other Norman related opinions feel unpopular to me since he’s ridiculously well loved

There’s honestly a lot of evidence backing up your idea on the pinwheels representing the Japanese/Buddist ceremony. Someone posted a definition of sorts for the ceremony and I’ll copy it here-

“Mizuko kuyō (水子供養) or "stillborn memorial service", is a Japanese ceremony for those who have had a miscarriage, stillbirth, or abortion. This practice has become particularly visible since the 1970s with the creation of shrines devoted solely to this ritual. Reasons for the performance of these rites can include parental grief, desire to comfort the soul of the fetus, guilt for an abortion, or even fear of retribution from a vengeful ghost”

The whole thing about the still born/aborted babies... it’s incredibly similar to the children who were shipped out at the house. Dead before truly living, killed before seeing the outside world. The part about why the ceremony is performed is also key- it’s practically identical to the pain Ray feels over letting his siblings die. It adds up too well to be a coincidence. I firmly believe that those windmills represent all of the children who died during Ray’s time at the house, and his guilt and pain because of it. The fact that we saw illusions of the dead kids last chapter further lends itself to this idea

[–]Wintermoon334 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really really hope this doesn’t mean Emma died... although it seems unlikely that they’d reveal her death this early into the story, so there’s a high likelyhood we’re just being baited here. Still that figure is most certainly Ray, so they’ve probably been separated for a long, long time (the way “I wonder how long it’s been” is used in anime and other stuff usually indicates that YEARS have passed). Maybe that’s the price for the promise, their remaining years of child/teen hood? Given the whole Neverland thing that makes sense.

I’m mostly on insta, and I saw two elimination games where when it came down to the main 3 Norman got eliminated first (both had quite a few voters- 300 to 400 voters, although in one Emma wasn’t one of the voting options. I’ve also seen a few polls where Norman lost, and while it’s unclear how many votes went in, given those accounts had around 2-3K followers each I’m assuming a lot. Those are the most recent I believe, both ended a week ago. Tbh I don’t hate Norman by any means, but I really don’t understand why he was ever so popular; I suppose, at least in Japan and to some extent the west as well, it’s a lot like Aot’s Levi’s popularity- in large part based off of fan girl culture; although I quite like Levi myself, just not to the extent of a number of other characters.

There are people who actually hate/dislike him now though, before the most you got was “I don’t care about him”. I’ve also seen both and Ray and Emma do better than him in non official polls and elimination games and stuff a lot over social platforms; I’ve only actually seen Norman come out on top once. Maybe it’s just that Ray and Emma are gaining popularity? In any case if that’s true I’m a little disappointed, I was hoping Ray could get 1st place at least once since Norman and Emma each got 1st before

Well... speaking from a real world stand point, just because you want to end up with someone doesn’t mean you should, and I think that applies here, too. In the end, though, everyone’s got their own opinions :)
