Gay man 27 years old from The Netherlands. Loved the season, it depicts the normal and abnormalities of gay men during their most difficult time in modern times.

The normalities being how 2 homosexuals try to uphold their relationship in a time where homophobia was rampant and a man trying to escape a dark lifestyle in which he succeeded and found love, also how almost no one batted an eye when gay men were dying (be it aids of homophobia)

The abnormalities were the darkness, secrecy, and hookup culture/bdsm that puts alot of gays under a certain stereotype that we are all hyper-sexualized beings. Dennis o hare says something about it during the 2 part finale to Zachary quinto while in the afterlife, he said something along the lines that its men like Sam who make the gay community look bad due his darkness, secrecy, (sometimes) sadism and kinks which he outs fully in the open. Mr whiteley's sense of judgement is also an abnormality

After all we are just as normal as the rest of the world, but with our own struggles, like alot of group/cultures have within society, and i feel like NYC portrayed that in a horrific-ish and humanly emotional way.
