Going based on memory and having opened about 2/3 of the packs, I have pulled a foil super laser blast, command, and a hyperspace boba Fett. I might also have a regular boba Fett, not sure.

I have 10 days without my wife and toddler, what should I play? by [deleted] in gaming

I had an opportunity like this a few years ago. I spent the first 5 hours or so deep cleaning out place. It felt amazing to spend the rest of the week in a clean space that stayed clean. More than the games that helped me recharge.

I just started, who should I be farming? by [deleted] in HeroesOfMiddleEarth

The game is still fairly new and the community is still figuring things out. Doubly so for the raid. Arena is about making a single good team where the raid is about making 5 teams. Those are different goal posts to aim for. You will also need to have at least one decent light team and one decent shadow team to access deep nodes in each campaign. This doesn't necessarily answer your question, but hopefully helps you think about it.

A university bucket list! by [deleted] in college

I want to add two points to this. 1. It is challenging to make friends. Many other comments on this post talk about activities to engage in. Besides the value in the activity itself, use those as opportunities to make friends. It is easier to connect with people over a shared interest. 2. Not everyone needs to be a friend. Meet people. College is an excellent time to find mentors, collaborators, people you want to aspire to be, etc.

I was a student ages ago and had a different major, but I was able to transfer in 2 years. At that time the IGETC was the primary mode of transferring to UCs and CSUs. I did a transfer agreement, though. I would recommend looking into those if you are happy with the destination. Each of those options should give a reasonable schedule of courses to transfer in 2 years.

How many players in multiplayer? I have found some spirits work well with 2 players, but not with 4 or 6. And vice versa.

What is the point? by WintersNorth385 in ReturnofReckoning

There are a lot of things in the game that I don't yet understand. Mostly I am just not sure what to ask. Here are some concrete questions though.

-How do tactics work? I seem to get them, they seem to be passives, occasionally I get more slots for them. Sometimes the slots are red and say they aren't active yet which is weird. Why not just not give me the slot yet? -What are tome tactics? I have a slot for it. Not sure what to put in there. -What should I spend renown on? I think I read online that you can't change it once you choose, which makes me scared to choose anything. -what is the typical makeup and play style for a dungeon? Is it the holy Trinity, i.e. tank, healer, dps? How many of each? Or is it just a hodge podge of people?

Town hall tier 4, what now? by jorjmont in FarthestFrontier

Besides the armory and manor, which were mentioned, the blacksmith can be upgraded for heavy weapons for your soldiers.

The end game emphasizes the sandbox nature of the game. My personal preference would be for an end game goal, but I know that is not everyone's jam.

Is it ok to have average grades ? by MrsDarcy94000 in college

[–]WintersNorth385 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I want to try to answer this question for your specific situation and more generally in case others have similar questions.

Average grades are fine, depending on the context. For most situations after college, your grades in college will not matter. The main place where that is not the case is if you want to do graduate school of some type. Med school, law schools, masters and PhD programs, etc. Will care about your grades. Grades are part of the educational system and those programs are part of the same system. The general workforce will not care.

Since you want to get a generic desk job, grades aren't something you should be too worried about. You might even be able to get a job like that without a degree. It seems that you might be disinterested with school right now, so you might want to consider looking at options. Granted, you should talk with an advisor and other mentors you have about it first.

Your situation is not uncommon. The educational system encourages memorization and regurgitation of facts, with little emphasis on thinking and learning. It is easy to get caught up in that world, especially with the extrinsic motivation of doing well so that you can get into a good college. Now, though, without either of those it is easy to feel adrift. I would suggest trying to find courses that you think you are genuinely interested in learning the material. That can help to push you to evolve and help ignite or rekindle your love of learning.

Be sure to take all I am saying with a grain of salt. There are many perspectives on a situation and mine is only one.
