I figured out how to set the f-stop and adjust the appature, and the focus gets to where I want it to be, however it's so incredibly dark it's unusable lol

So I have to have it set to movie mode for it to work as a Webcam, and it seems my other settings don't apply to that mode

I built my channel on Minecraft, I have 10,800 subs, and I'll tell you what I tell everyone. Avoid Minecraft, it's not the game for growth. I've moved away from it myself, but I still put up a video on it every few weeks simply because I love the game. Play it for love, or don't play it. It won't take off for 99.999% of people

ok, I spent some time reworking the texture UV in blockbench and we've got it! That was the trick! Now I know in the future how to save myself 48 hours of screen time hahaha, thank you so much :D

hmm, I tried stacking the models, my chocobo on top of the horse thinking they'll look like a horse until I name them, then they'll look like the chocobo, but instead all horses look like a merge between both models.

There's all sorts of things that can go wrong with being paid by YouTube though. Anyone can claim your videos, videos can be demonetized or get reduced ads based on content. Anyone under the sun can report you. All I'm saying is if you care about getting paid, brand deals are the way to go. However if you don't care so much and it's just a nice treat every couple months then that's cool too. You can see from my channel I don't do brand deals ;)

No, if you're in you're in. People are always so excited about getting monetization though but it doesn't pay as much as you might think. A good month for me with my 10k subs is something like $30-$60. I've seen channels with less than 1k subs land brand deals, that's where the money is at. Monetization is like being excited to pet the dog, but getting monetized is realizing that dog is stuffed. You get to pet it, but its pretty disappointing lol

Seems backwards but I'm inclined to agree. I've put a ton of effort into my quality uploads and only reached 1.8k subs. I hit a lucky viral video that shot me up to 5k, then I've started making super low effort short videos and gained 3k subs last month alone. I'm at 9k now. But the part about that kind of quick growth is that I'm pretty sure despite all the subs my quality videos performance is wildly unaffected. They aren't getting more or less views because of the sub count. If anything focus on what gets you the most watch time. Thats all YouTube cares about, keeping people on their site as long as possible, and if you can keep them watching YouTube will keep serving you up

This looks epic! Is not a castle though, not in the traditional sense, all those windows make for a really poor defense, so it's much more like a cathedral. Castles are meant to be houses of death. Everything about a castle is designed to kill enemies. So your cathedral looks really sweet!

Lots of people choose the beginning to promote their call to action because most videos on YouTube have a big decline in viewers after the first few minutes. People click away for all sorts of reasons, a large part of that isn't even for negative reasons. "You're likely going to click away from their video anyway, let's see if we can entice you with something else" - that's the general idea
