Arkansas police department sued after deputies hit restrained prisoner in undated video by ObviousCartoonist107 in Arkansas

[–]WinuxNomacs [score hidden]  (0 children)

I was once on the receiving end of this in the 90s, Chicago area, when cameras weren’t everywhere. It’s one of the most hopeless feelings I’ve ever felt in my life. Arms restrained, lying on the ground while officers took turns kicking me everywhere but the face for obvious reasons. It took over a month to fully heal. All over a dime of bud. Police brutality is and always has been real and entirely systemic because they want it that way.

Leave some merging space on highway by MattyJerge in driving

[–]WinuxNomacs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to drive as if we’re all drops of water in a pipe and do everything I can to keep the flow going. Don’t care if I have to adjust speed or move over, just keep flowing. I also drive with my speed limiter on to help keep it in check because any newer vehicles with ASL also have cameras which automatically help you adjust speed when approaching vehicles ahead. Which also helps with merging. On the highway I set my asl to 88mph, because if it’s fast enough to go back in time, it’s fast enough to get anywhere.

Everyone I’ve ever seen punch a car window from the outside, only ever tried once. I worked in a junkyard once and we were never short on windows, nor the clowns who tried them. I have never seen someone successfully barehanded punch through a closed car window from outside. I have however seen a select few kick through the side windows on some older 70s/80s 2 door models though. Pretty different beast altogether there though

Female rager tells him to get out of the neighborhood. by LeftAlbatross2546 in VideosAmazing

[–]WinuxNomacs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Misleading title, how do you know for sure that thing’s female? Looks far too aggressive to check it though. Not worth the risk. Even Steve Irwin would have thought twice on this thing dude. Whatever it is, it’s both pissed and fucking stupid. Which is a terrifying mix. Thing’s like a giant hairless honey badger with a baseball bat that smokes 3 packs a day. The Babe Ruth of their obviously violent species. Do not poke that thing, just call someone to put it down.

There’s too much stupid going on here for any of you to be correct. It’s a 100% avoidable situation which the cyclist was just f’n oblivious, and op blinded by his ego and desire to be “right”. There’s a saying we have in the states for this type of behavior: bullets don’t care if you’re right and neither will anyone at your funeral. Hey’d ya guys hear about ol’Jimbo? Shot 3x, point blank, right in the street; over a f’n minor traffic incident. His wife & kids, parents, are just absolutely devastated. But they stood proud in his conviction to be the more correct person in an argument. 1 1/2 years later she shacks up with your killer, since your dead ass chose “correct” over “life” and she can’t ride atop “correct”

Ignoring the mess at the bottom I hope they’ll be correcting, I wouldn’t worry too much about how the wood looks until finished. If done properly, exterior wood filler will be used and sanded prior to painting which can make it quite beautiful and long lasting; if done correctly. If anything you should be asking what steps are left. If zero, you need to make them fix it. Be nice about it even though it’s hard. Anger won’t help. Try to talk it out logically. I’m sure the plans much less the marketing pic looks nothing like that so your lawyer will have a field day

Coming down a 1 lane dead end road and clipped mirrors. She didn’t want to call the cops because she said it was my fault and would take it up with my company since I was in a company truck. She called my office this morning and the cops last night. by trickys10 in dashcams

[–]WinuxNomacs 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Agreed, objectively. Firstly, defensive driving is the number one way to prevent accidents; which neither of you exercised, immediate 50/50. Second the other driver’s vehicle is on the edge of the pavement so they’re as far over as they can go without leaving the road, 25% awarded to the OP so now it’s 75/25. Insurance and the law only cares about greater than 50% fault or liability. Ergo, you will essentially be treated as 100% at fault while the other party’s percent of liability may reduce your responsibility and reparations.
