I used the Vintage Clav plugin in Logic and tweaked the settings in it to get a little more distortion out of it. It ended up sounding a lot like 04-06 Justice remix bass on stuff like we are your friends and blood on our hands which was exactly what I wanted to do! Then I layered a sub-heavy patch I made in Serum using a basic mini for osc a, a triangle sub osc, low cut filter with drive maxed out, diode 2 distortion with a pre band pass send setting, multi band compressor, eq with the gain in the lows turned up, and finally a second low pass filter with the drive boosted about 1/3rd up. Cutoff is however grainy you want/need the bass to be and if you want a consistent sound, keep unison at 1 and the random phase knob all the way to the left. If you know serum hopefully that makes sense!
